Delivery of a work systematic in specific material for the pharmacist, and Bot Plus as the structural support. The protocol includes the knowledge and registration of parameters obtained from the interview with the person requesting help to alleviate the signs of the cold: who the patient is; the reason for the consultation; the time that the referred to health problem lasts; if referring to allergies, pregnancy…; other illnesses and additional treatments. After verifying the alarm signals, the pharmacist will act. The Strategic Plan is a professional project with specific actions to aid the implantation of Pharmaceutical Care in the society, through the Colleges and the General Council of Pharmacists. Over three quarters (76,51%) of all the consultations made in the community pharmacy, it is the patient himself who asks for help to alleviate the cold symptoms or requests some kind of information about medicines to use. In 22,67% of cases it is a relative/carer and 0,82% correspond to others, who are the ones who visit the pharmacy There are no important differences related to the gender of the patients who consult about colds at the pharmacy: 53,85% are women 46,15% are men. With respect to age, over three quarters (77,64%) of all the patients (men and women) are included in the age ranges of 18 to 65 years of age. The reason for the indication is mainly related (94,2%) to the consultation about a health problem, the cold or a related symptom, as opposed to 5,8% who request information about a medicine related to the treatment of the cold, without there being any dispensing involved. The length of the problem referred to by the patient when he goes to the pharmacy has lasted from 1 to 3 days (68,7%). The pharmaceutical intervention is characterised by dispensing an OTC medicine with information about it (65,64%), giving advice without dispensing medicines (11,66%), and sending the patient to the doctor (9,21%). Without being a specific aim of the Action, 30% of PRMs were detected and registered, related to: 1. The patient suffers from a health problem as a consequence of not receiving a medicine he requires: 46,18% 5. The patient suffers from a health problem as a consequence of a non-quantitative insecurity of a medicine (RAM): 31,42% 6. The patient suffers from a health problem as a consequence of a quantitative insecurity of a medicine: 12,89% 3. The patient suffers from a health problem as a consequence of a non-quantitative ineffectiveness of the medicine: 9,51% There has been a high participation of pharmacists implied in de development of pharmaceutical care' specific actions. The Pharmaceutical Indication provides of a more professional practice by facilitating an appropiate methodology that it is composed in the everyday activity of the pharmacist in his community office, helping him to offer to the patient the safest and more effective personalized solution when there is a “autolimited” health problem as it is cold or its associated symptoms, and giving enough information about the medicine dispensed to assure a rational use of it to protect the patient about the problems related.
