For the cold season

The application of pneumatic tools like e.g. soil displacement hammers, jackhammers or ramming machines can be problematic in cold weather despite the use of a lubricator because these machines already freeze at +5°C due to the extreme air compression. In the worst case an ice crust forms which blocks the tool and results in a complete standstill. The compressed air heaters UNI-THERM with an air capacity of 3 m³ per min. and MAXITHERM with an air capacity of 12 m³ per min. effectively prevent pneumatic tools from freezing.

The compressed air heaters are driven by propane or butane gas. UNITHERM or MA-XITHERM is simply installed between com-pressor and pneumatic tool. The compressed air streams through a heating coil and is hea-ted to 100°C resp. 120°C. This way pneuma-tic tools can even be used in winter at frosty temperatures.

Yet there are further possibilities to apply the warm air. In winter HD-PE pipes get brittle and thus difficult to handle. The material can be softened using the warm air to avoid cra-cking and to facilitate installation. Additionally the warm air can be used to defrost frozen equipment like power units or the like.

The compressed air heaters are well-proven in jobsite practice for more than 20 years and are part of the standard equipment for pipe and cable installation.

Both devices correspond to current techni-cal and safety regulations.
