What's special: Monsun® LED is available as acomplete luminaire, but is also available forLED refurbishment concepts with the energy-efficient refurbishing and upgrading of exist-ing lighting systems with LED. Common to bothsolutions is that the new LED technology andthe outstandingly tried-and-true Monsun®luminaire concept are perfectly matched.

LED complete system solutionThe LED tube and matching electronic LED con-trol gear form a single system unit that is reli-ably defined in terms of electrical, photometricand thermal factors. This ensures a long systemservice life and complete exploitation of theLED tube's efficiency potential. Together withthe high quality prismatic cover this results in ahomogeneous, wide distribution of light withgood light quality.

An efficient substitute for fluorescent lampsWith its high direct component, Monsun® LEDachieves significantly more efficient illumina-tion than systems utilising conventional lamp

technology. Up to 20% of energy compared toT16 or T26 variants can be saved. Furtherpotential for savings can also be achieved bythe integration of switchable presence detec-tors. Thus in parking garages for example con-sumer-optimised lighting according to needscan be made available, meaning only whenpeople are present in the corresponding light-ing zones. An additional advantage: the longservice life of the LED system with up to 40,000hours and the resulting decrease in mainte-nance effort compared to T16 and T26 lamps.

LED fits the concept perfectlyThe Monsun® luminaire family has been opti-mised for maximum reliability, robustness,ease of installation and quality. High qualitystainless steel enclosure catches, mountingbrackets and suspension and a protection rat-ing of IP65 make it the first choice for lightingtasks in challenging environments, and the LEDversion with a CRI > 80 fits in excellently withthis concept. Its takes advantage of thestrengths of the luminaire in a wide diversity ofindustrial and manual applications, in storageareas, cold stores, parking garages and logisticsareas, becoming an energy-efficient and inno-vative alternative to conventional fluorescentlamps.

A maintenance factor of 0.8 for a systemwith Monsun® LED offers a good relationbetween energy consumption and lightinglevels over the defined system service life of25,000 to 30,000 hours. A new system cantherefore be planned with a balancedphotometric and energetic increase ofapproximately +15%.

Monsun® LED offers a sustainable and future-fit solution for the energetic refurbishment ofobsolete lighting systems: the LED refurbish-ment concept.

Refurbishing with safety for the futureThis consists of the gear tray with pre-assem-bled LED ECG. The LED tube is ordered separate-ly. Electronics and innovative LED lighting tech-nology are precisely matched and form a func-tional, optimised unit. This ensures that the LED tube achieves the performance enabled by this innovative tech-nology. At the same time the modular designmeans that a later upgrade to higher perfor-

mance and more efficient LED tubes is facilita-ted with ease.

Efficient upgrading made easyThanks to the LED refurbishment concept, the efficient upgrading of existing Monsun®systems becomes child's play.No modification to the building installation isneeded and neither must the luminaire bedisassembled. The housing remains mountedand cabled.Refurbishment, thanks to the Monsun® geartray principle, is electrically safe and with theguarantee that all components optimally func-tion together after completion of the process
