Integration
Business Function AIE ERP Integration
ERP_AIE_INTEGRATION: Business Function AIE ERP Integration (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0, the business function AIE ERP
Integration is available.
You can use this business function to perform the already available outbound and
inbound delivery processing in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure, now with SAP Auto-ID
Infrastructure deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP.
Additionally, this business function supports RFID for several logistic execution actions
in a centralized SAP Warehouse Management (WM) system that uses handling units or
storage units.
Finally, this business function synchronizes the date and time of a delivery document
between SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and SAP ERP when SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is
not deployed as an optional add-on for SAP ERP.
Effects on Customizing
Integration of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure inbound or outbound delivery with SAP
ERP
o If you want to integrate the outbound delivery in a system landscape where SAP
Auto-ID Infrastructure is used as an add-on for SAP ERP, you can activate BAdI
implementation Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment with Tags from
SAP AII in Customizing for SAP ERP under Logistics - General -> Supply Chain
Planning Interfaces (SCPI) -> Auto-ID Backend Integration -> IDoc Processing ->
Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment with Tags from SAP AII.
o If you not only want to integrate the outbound delivery in a system landscape
where SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is used as an add-on for SAP ERP, but also
want to sent an event capture notification in such a system landscape, you can
activate BAdI implementation Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment from
and Triggering ECN in SAP AII in Customizing for SAP ERP under Logistics -
General -> Supply Chain Planning Interfaces (SCPI) -> Auto-ID Backend
Integration -> IDoc Processing -> Implementation: Outbound ASN Enrichment

- Implementation: Add Inbound Delivery Document to Buffer
Integration of SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure with Warehouse Management (WM) in
SAP ERP for handling unit movement
o If you want to use the new enterprise service to move handling units (HUs) or
storage units (SUs) inside the warehouse, you can use the Business add-In for
Integration of SAP AII Business Add-In for Integration of SAP AII Business Add-
In (BAdI) implementation. If you do not use this BAdI implementation, the default
implementation of fallback class CL_WM_SE_HUMOVE_FALLBACK is used.
The new enterprise service uses service operation Change Handling Unit

have already defined resource types and resource element types in Customizing
for SAP ERP under Logistics Execution -> Task and Resource Management ->
Master Data -> Resource Management.
Delivery Date Time Stamp Synchronization
o If you want to synchronize date and time with time zone, you can use BAdI
implementation Implementation: Delivery Date/Time Synchronization (Flexible
Del.Proc.) in Customizing for SAP ERP under Logistics - General -> Supply
Chain Planning Interfaces (SCPI) -> Auto-ID Backend Integration -> IDoc
Processing -> Implementation: Delivery Date/Time Synchronization (Flexible Del.
Proc.).
Secure Tracking and Tracing Business Scenario
o If you want to use the secure tracking and tracing business scenario, you have to
switch on the LOG_LE_INTEGRATION business function to get the correct date
and time. You also have to activate the BAdI implementation for the flexible
scenario.

LOG_TM_IV_INT: Create, Enter, Display, and Archive Invoices (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL), business function
TMS-ERP: Invoice Integration (LOG_TM_IV_INT) you can create or enter invoices in
the system that refer to documents in an external transportation management system
(TMS).
Outgoing Invoice
o Create invoices
You can also use the functions for editing outgoing invoices for invoices that
originate from an external transportation management system.
Incoming Invoice
o Enter invoices (transaction MIRO)
In the transaction MIRO, you can enter and check invoices with reference to an
external transportation management system. The additional tab TM Reference is
available for this purpose. Here you can determine documents based on logistics
data such as freight order, carrier, bill of lading, air waybill, voyage number, and
flight number.
You can use the following functions:
- More Allocation Criteria
You can select a number of documents for invoice creation, that is, you
can reference several TMS documents in one invoice and settle these
together.
- Displaying Details
In addition, you can navigate to the details of the reference document in
the connected external transportation management system (via RFC).
- Layouts
You can choose from the following layouts:
- All information
- Land freight
- Air freight
- Sea freight
o Park, hold, or completely enter invoices (transaction MIR7 )
In the same way as in transaction MIRO, in transaction MIR7 you can park or
hold invoices with reference to an external transportation management system.
An additional tab TM Reference is available for this purpose.
o Display invoice document (transaction MIR4)
When you display invoices, the TMS data is also displayed.
o Invoice overview (transaction MIR6)
You can list incoming invoices that were entered with reference to an external
transportation management system. On the initial screen, you can use the new
Transportation Mgmt (Ext. TMS) indicator to restrict the selection to invoice
documents with a TMS reference.
o Archiving
When invoice documents are archived, TMS-relevant data (table RSEG_TM;
SAP® What's New? – Release Notes
Release Notes for Logistics Execution SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 Page 11 of 25
archiving object MM_REBEL) is also archived. The archiving reports
RM08RW47 and RM08RD47 have been adapted.
Note
Note that background processing of invoices is not supported.
Effects on Existing Data
Incoming Invoice
Technically, the data is transferred from the external transportation management
system to SAP ERP using an enterprise service. In SAP ERP, internal documents that
the system requires for invoice creation are created on the basis of this TMS data.
When incoming invoices are entered, the connected external transportation management system is informed by enterprise service (Supplier Invoice
Notification - InvoiceNotification_Out).
Set User Parameters (Incoming Invoice)
With the user parameter TM_INVOICE_CLERK, you control which tabs the user sees
when entering or changing invoices in the transactions MIRO and MIR7 and in change
mode in the transaction MIR4.
You must set up the user parameter TM_INVOICE_CLERK in the user data
accordingly.
The user parameter has the following alternatives:
o Blank
In invoice creation, the user sees the TM Reference and PO Reference tabs, as
well as all tabs that are visible according to Customizing (Material Account, G/L
Account, and Contract Reference).
o 01
The user only sees the TM Reference tab and, depending on Customizing, the
G/L Account tab. The PO Reference tab is hidden.
o 02
The user does not see the TM Reference tab, but sees the PO Reference tab,
as well as all tabs that are visible according to Customizing (Material Account,
G/L Account, and Contract Reference).
Activate Business Function (Incoming and Outgoing Invoices)
You must activate the business function Operations, Enterprise Services
(LOG_ESOA_OPS_2) to be able to use enterprise services for incoming and outgoing
invoices.
Effects on Customizing
For incoming and outgoing invoices, make the appropriate Customizing settings for
Logistics - General under Integration with an External Transportation
Management System.

LOG_TM_IV_INT: Invoice Receipt IDocs Enhanced (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), business
function TMS-ERP: Invoice Integration (LOG_TM_IV_INT) you can enter invoices in
the system that refer to documents in an external transportation management system
(TMS).
In the IDoc INVOIC01/INVOIC02 (invoice/billing document) there is a new qualifier in
the segment type E1EDP02 that specifies the TMS document more exactly (field
QUALF - data element EDI_QUALFR).
The following qualifiers are new:
o T01 = Freight order
o T02 = Bill of lading
o T03 = Air waybill
o T04 = Flight number
o T05 = Voyage number Note
For technical reasons, in SAP ERP one purchase order is created per freight
settlement document, which the system requires for invoice creation.
If several freight settlement documents are transferred with reference to one
TMS document, the EDI invoice item can only be assigned using this purchase
order number. For a unique assignment, there is also the qualifier TP1 = TMS
purchase order number.
It is possible to transfer several segment types E1EDP02 per invoice item with
the IDoc (for example, the qualifiers T01, T03, and TP1).

Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), business
function TMS-ERP: Invoice Integration (LOG_TM_IV_INT) you can balance the
GR/IR clearing account for documents that refer to an external transportation
management system (TMS).
In the transaction Maintain GR/IR Clearing Account (MR11), you can select items
with a balance in the clearing account based on transportation-relevant data.
The Transportation Management (Ext. TMS) tab is available for this purpose. Certain
fields, such as the delivery costs, are then hidden on the selection screen.
The results list displays information relevant for transportation, such as freight order or
bill of lading.
Effects on System Administration
Set up the user parameter TM_INVOICE_CLERK in the user data accordingly.
You use this user parameter to control whether the Transportation Management (Ext.
TMS) tab is displayed.

LOG_TM_ORD_INT: Enhanced Scheduling in Sales Orders (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), business
function ERP-TMS: Order Integration (LOG_TM_ORD_INT), you can also schedule
sales orders in an external transportation management system.
The following transactions were enhanced for this purpose:
o Create Sales Order (transaction VA01) and Change Sales Order (transaction
VA02)
When creating or changing sales orders, scheduling takes place in the
connected transportation management system instead of the shipment
scheduling and transportation scheduling in SAP ERP. The system schedules
backwards from the requested delivery date. If the requested delivery date is not
feasible or too close to today's date, forward scheduling takes place based on
the material availability date.
The ERP system expects the following standard dates when scheduling takes
place in an external transportation management system: delivery date, goods
issue date, loading date, material availability date, and transportation planning
date. You can find these dates in the delivery schedule line view of the item data
on the Shipping tab page.
If the business function is active, the availability of an item is not checked when
Enter is pressed (this is how the system previously behaved). Instead, in the
order view of the sales order, there are two new pushbuttons: Check Document
Availability and Check Group Availability.
- Check Document Availability
When checking document availability, the system schedules and checks the availability for all document items; it also checks any items that have
already been checked.
- Check Group Availability
When checking group availability, the system schedules and checks one item or several items together; here only new or changed items are
checked. This check is also run when a document is saved.
The availability checking screen is displayed in accordance with your
Customizing settings. For a material with a replenishment lead time, the
replenishment lead time is displayed starting from the material availability date
without calculated transportation and shipping times.
In contrast, with scheduling in SAP ERP, the replenishment lead time is
displayed inclusive of the calculated shipping and transportation times.
o Rescheduling (transaction V_V2)
In rescheduling, scheduling is done in the connected external transportation
management system.
To obtain a reliable result, you should always schedule sales orders completely
in the external transportation management system. If you want to schedule
document-by-document, you must select the document number as the first sort
criterion.
Effects on Customizing
You must make the following settings in Customizing for Logistics - General
(Logistics - General -> Integration with an External Transportation Management
System -> Order Integration):
