WALLKILL (4-1) – The Panthers just might be the one team in the HVSR Power Rankings that flies below the radar. Week in and week out they just go about their business of winning games, including their romp over Poughkeepsie. As usual, division will come down to Oct. 24 game vs. Cornwall.

ROOSEVELT (4-1) – The Presidents suffered their first loss of the season, allowing two scores late in the fourth quarter against equally unbeaten Warwick. FDR still needs to get its offense a little more balanced because it might need to sweep its two remaining league games to qualify for the playoffs.

ARLINGTON (4-1) – The Admirals put themselves firmly in second place behind John Jay in the league after handing Mamaroneck its first league loss on Friday night. Arlington really has it figured out since that opening night loss. This is a dangerous team all of a sudden.

HIGHLAND (5-0) – The Huskies just continue to roll and move up the HVSR rankings. They’re a virtual lock for the playoffs and in fact will clinch if Marlboro, as expected, beat Red Hook this weekend and also clinch. All that’s left after that is the season-ending Marlboro-Highland game for the outright title.
