The Kenmare Food Trail gives you a tour of the many establishments offering the best in food choices. If you are looking for a quick cup of coffee or
tea and a delicious scone or cake, a bakery with the freshest bread and croissants, a lunchtime snack, a takeaway meal or a full dining experience
the choice is yours in Kenmare.
You don’t get much fresher than Kenmare’s Place to Plate philosophy. It’s important for you to know where your food comes from, so chefs and
proprietors here take a special interest in quality and freshness. By sourcing as much as possible from local suppliers they know where the food is
produced, reared or grown and even the name of the person who delivers it.
Kenmare has 48 eateries, in the town and within a thirty minute drive with fish, meat and vegetarian tastes catered for. Special daily menus are
offered, all based on what fish has been caught, what shellfish is in season, what market garden produce is ready for picking and how good the beef,
lamb or pork is today.
Kenmare is situated on the southern part of the Wild Atlantic Way with access to the very best fishing waters, so be sure to taste a daily catch –
whether its the mussels, oysters, lobsters or fish caught and delivered fresh to shops and restaurants. Take a look at the many food award plaques displayed around town… proof enough that you can rely on a good
experience when you eat in Kenmare.
