The material matters in food handling, processing and storage.MFG Tray food service products are molded from high-strength, glass-reinforced composites. The fiber component provides strength and dimensional stability. The outstanding physical properties for which these products are known are a result of the synergy of resin matrix and glass reinforcement. Most MFG Tray products are compression molded from our own sheet-molding compound (SMC), a process that is ideal for producing medium to high volumes of high-strength, complex parts.

Unlike plastic trays and containers, composite products are dimensionally stable and will not bend or sag under loads. And unlike wood and metal, they will not warp, corrode or bend. Thanks to their strength, composite products may be readily stacked to save space and streamline handling and product storage. The durability that results from composites construction ensures years of dependable performance.

MFG Tray offers an array of products expressly designed for food storage, preparation and merchandising. Their strength, stability and durability ensure exceptional performance and value for food service operations.

Fibers in MFG Tray products are multidirectional or random for optimal tensile and torsion strength of the finished part. Fiber lengths vary from 1" to 2". The composites can contain up to 35 percent of randomly oriented fibers by weight.

Most MFG composite trays and containers are safe for food service and listed in NSF Standard No. 2. Specific formulas follow USFDA Code of Federal Regulations, title 21, of the Federal Register, Section 177.2420 guidelines. The smooth, nonporous surface of composite products resists odors, stains and mildew and is not harmed by detergents.

Exceptional strength and stabilityThanks to their composite design, MFG Tray food service products offer inherent strength and weight-carrying capacity resulting in exceptional stacking capability under heavy loads. They can handle standard baking temperatures and safely accommodate items to be frozen, refrigerated or prepped without additional handling. They may be cleaned in conventional dishwashers or steam cleaned.

Variety of sizes and configurationsMFG Tray manufactures dough boxes, bagel boards, pan extenders, food storage and prep bins, non-slip serving trays, and cafeteria and display trays. Several food service products also feature options such as lids and dolly carts, and are available in several colors to meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
