Steps

2. Welcome the guest maintaining eye contact.

How are we going to do that?

By using formal sentences like “Good morning Mrs., Sr., welcome to the Restaurant; are you joining us for lunch/dinner?”

Maintaining a short distance from guest and making sure there is no obstacles between both of you

Using a clear tone of voice

Very good afternoon Mrs., Sir., welcome to the Restaurant;

are you joining us for lunch/dinner?”

Steps

5. We will walk or escort our guest to their table.

What we want to achieve by doing that?

How are we going to do it?

What shall we say while escorting the guest to the table?

We want our guest feels welcome, comfortable and important.

Walking side by side (slightly in front of them) showing the way with the Open Palm

Maintain an adequate walking speed

We could do that while saying “Mrs. Smith / Mr. Smith, this way please”

Mrs. Smith / Mr. Smith, this way please

• Why do we want to do that?• What do we achieve with it?

• What shall we say while opening the chair?

• To invite the guest to have a seat

• To make sure our guest will feel well taken care of

• The most polite and easy way would be “allow me please”
