Background
• FOMMS 2006, Foundations of Molecular Modeling and Simulation 2006, will be held in July 9th-14th, 2006 in Blaine, Washington at the Semiahmoo Resort
• FOMMS 2006 provides a schedule and forum that emphasizes integration from the most fundamental level (electronic structure) through to meso- and macroscale modeling and simulation
• FOMMS 2006 brings together a broad background of scientists and engineers
• Innovators and Developers of new methods in molecular simulation and computational chemistry
• Providers and Vendors which supply hardware and software for modeling & simulation
• Users and Appliers of the technology
• Two successful FOMMS conferences were held at the Keystone Resort in Colorado in July of 2000 and 2003 and from those experiences, we expect about 50% innovators, 40% Users, and 10% Providers including participants from industry and government labs
• Promotion Activities
• At society meetings
• Through mailing lists (both surface and electronic)
• The conference web site, http://www.fomms.org
