Dear Members and Friends of the Anthroposophical Movement!

We cordially invite you to the Christmas Conference at the Goetheanum and look forward to working together during the Christmas season! We are going to be working with the spiritual forces of the starry world in human life and community building and focussing on the motifs of Rudolf Steiner‘s Foundation Stone Medi-tation. In this meditation, the macrocosmic being of the world is brought into relationship with the microcosmic being of humanity. The training of the human soul and the contemplation of the Christmas event develops the appeal to the Light and the Warmth of the Christ-Sun to become effective in life. This is about „following this good star“ as an increasing appeal of Rudolf Steiner at the end of the Christmas Conference 1923/24.

We currently have an abstract relationship to the star world, to the planets, and an unhealthy relationship to the sun, determined by a longing for its light and an ill-judged fear of its effects. The spatial understanding of the macrocosm has been developed by research into outer space. The great mysteries of its spiritual nature and its relationship to humankind need to be rediscovered and our rela-tionship to the Sun deepened. The rhythms of the star world are connected to the music of the spheres, which sound different at every moment and every festive season. Its spiritual tones are transmitted as the sound of the world-soul to life on earth. In biography, but also in many biological processes in nature and human beings, we will find their rhythms repeatedly and find them in biology, agriculture and medicine. Thus the arc stretches from the starry world of the Christmas sky over the planetary harmony of the spheres to the being of the sun and the effects on life on the earth and humanity.

In the working groups we will pursue these themes and also encounter the essences of the macrocosm in our artistic work in speech, picture contemplation and eurythmy. A eurythmy performance with a new program by the stage group has also been planned. The evenings will end with guided star-gazing on the Goetheanum terrace under a clear sky.
