El nombre Pisco deriva del puerto yvalle del mismo nombre situados al sur

del Per, desde donde se embarc elaguardiente enviado a Espaa desde el

siglo XVI. Pisco evoca tambin a la grandiversidad de aves del sur, entre las que

destacan las parihuanas, el huerequeque,el zarcillo y el cndor, porque la palabra

pisco proviene del trmino quechuaPisscu que significa ave.

El Pisco es un destilado de uvas cuyoaroma y fragancia inimitable conjuga la

de los antiguos alfareros creadores de lastinajas en que se almacena este exquisito

aguardiente de uva.

El buen pisco se distingue de cualquier otrodestilado, en el uso de las uvas pisqueras

y en su singular proceso, destilacin directay discontinua de mostos frescos, que nopermite agregado de agua. Su color es

transparente; su sabor fuerte y contundente,y su olor, ligeramente fragante.
