Salgueiro isthe former lead of the legen-dary Portuguese band Madre-deus which she formed toge-ther with guitarist and produ-cer Pedro Ayres Magalhaes in1987. Salgueiro sang withMadredeus until 2007 andmost fans associate the soundof the band with her mysteriousand haunting voice.
