T he vast majority of us associate Easter withchocolate eggs, although traditionally, hens'eggs are the food of Easter. Eating eggs,amongst other things, was strictly forbidden

during lent, however, the hens continued to lay,culminating in a stock pile for Easter Sunday.

Blinded by the lights…

The joy of writing for a magazine thatreaches so many homes is the opportunityto write about such a wide array of topics.An event will happen during the day to day

(or in this case a night to night) goings on thatsparks a thought and a potential article beginswriting itself, but more about that another time...

Following a social trip to friends, the return leg ofthe journey was completed under the dark andstar covered nights sky, a beautiful site that I couldhave happily sat and watched for a few hours,alas, I couldn’t this time as there were miles tocover. Getting my journey underway as early aspossible I started to notice lights blinding me fromoncoming cars.

A lot of the journey was dual carriageway soblinding opportunities were few and far betweenluckily, the unfortunate part was when overtaking

and pulling back into the inside lane, thecar behind would have lights so bright thatyou could be forgiven for thinking it wasdaylight! Not a problem but it made methink, how many people have had theirheadlights aligned as it does generally seemto be the slightly older cars that suffered thisproblem. The joys of modern motoring andself adjusting headlights you could say... Aluxury I cannot say I have either!

So if you get overtaken and receive a flashof the fog light (as i do), you see peopleflicking the rear view mirror to take out theglare or you can light up Wembley fromthe A43, it might be time for a headlightalignment to save burning the retina’s of theunfortunate sole who is temporarily blindedby the lights...
