Ingredients that can be placed inside the paper bags include: cotton balls, feathers, play dough, sandpaper, a cold soda can or a scrub brush.

Cut out the shape of a train engine. Use full sheets of colored paper for each train car. Cut out circles for train wheels. Label each circle with numbers or letters. Match each wheel with the corresponding letter or number on the cars.

Make and Take: aPeek-a-Who Plate

1. Print the Peek a Who leaf (in PDF format) on green printer paper.

2. Fold a paper plate in half and cut out the eye hole.

3. Open the plate and place it on the green leaf paper. Trace around the plate and eye hole.

4. Cut out the shape from the leaf paper.

5. Glue the leaf paper to the plate.

Consider yet another bubble party… because they’re a blast!

They will need: bubble bath soap, a pie

pan or mixing bowl, food coloring, a straw, and water from the bath tub!

Encourage families to explore bubbles at home,

too, with this recipe for good, clean

Make a bubble wrap painting with toddlers!

1. Cover your work surface with a plastic trash bag. 2. Cut a rectangular piece of bubble wrap slightly

smaller than your paper and adhere it to the work surface.

3. Parent and child carefully apply paint to surface of the bubble wrap with a foam brush.

4. When bubble wrap surface is coated lightly with paint, align and place a piece of white paper over the painted area and gently rub the back of the paper to pick up the paint.

5. Gently pull away paper and set aside to dry.6. Multiple prints may be made from one paint

application.

construction paper

green paper for Ellison die or hand cut

bumpy chenille sticks or for babies,

Blast Off With This Rocket Craft

1. Printing the rocket (PDF) on an 8 ½ x 11” sheet of white cardstock yields one craft.

2. After printing, cut them out two at a time by folding each sheet on the dotted line.

3. Pre-cut crepe paper strips in the following quantities for each craft: Two Red - 5 inches long Two Orange – 7-8 inches long One Yellow- 10-12 inches long

Rocket CraftPreparation:

At the program:After coloring the rocket ship, tape the crepe paper strips to the bottom, back: yellow first, then the orange ones, and red last. Put glue onthe back of both rockets and

pressthem together. Add a stringfor flying too!

Make an Owl Friend

Cut out the owl shape. Color the picture, or copy it on bright paper. Glue the edge of one side of the owl to the toilet paper tube. Wrap around and glue the other edge to the toilet paper tube. Press in the top with your thumb to make ears.
