APPENDIX C – BOAT PARKING

The Selby Bay Sailing Center will be configured per the site plan above for the ACC event. Boats will be launched with two electric hoists, then taken down the pier, or paddled to nearby piles for final rigging. Electric golf carts fitted with trailer hitches will be used to transport boats on their trailers from the rigging area or parking spot to the hoist area. Once the boat is launched, please return the trailer to the boat parking spot. There are 3 golf carts for everyone to use, please only connect the cart to the trailer when the boat is ready for launch and de-couple the cart from the trailer when finished launching so others can use them when ready. Out of town participants will use the central rigging area to prepare and park their boats as well as park their vehicles. Upon arrival the participants in this area will pull through the rigging area with their boat attached to their vehicle to raise the mast. Once the mast is up, the vehicle will be parked behind their boat so the boat can be accessed with a golf cart to take it to the launch area and to keep the loop drive clear. Local participants will generally keep their boats along the fence and park in the separate parking area along the fence. Additional vehicles will park along the fence or in the overflow area in front of the office.
