WHAT IS THE POLITICS DOING?

Netherlands has a new challenge for the future. In 2008, the Delta Commission an opinion on how the Netherlands over the next 100 years to prepare for the effects of climate change. Sea levels will rise and because the river flows will be alternating periods of extreme drought and high rainfall. In response to the opinion, the government decided to launch new Delta Program. The purpose of the Delta Program is to implement recommendations of the Delta Committee, which the Netherlands will remain a leader in the world when it comes to safe and sustainable living in a Delta area. While security is placed, are also reinforcing nature, sustainability, economics and innovation included.

SOLUTIONS

People consume a lot, which makes for a lot of waste. But a lot of that waste is recyclable. Should the town or out of a place, where separate areas are to be collected. If that happens, the waste already diminishing hope. Themselves can also do recycling, for example a water bottle to school to take, and it is filled with drinking from a bottle or pack, instead of every day a new packet. Furthermore, you can still think:

- Find out where the local recycling center, and use them.- Take your lunch in a drum, instead of a bag or foil.- Use a bottle and fill it again and again.- Throws never waste into the sea or rivers- Never throw waste on the street.- Cleaner energy sources, fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas) by solar, wind, hydro

and renewable biomass.- More efficient production - and consumption means enter.

A better environment starts at home! They are small things but very important! If everyone does

it we get a better world!

Here are some tips: Turn off the TV! Not on stand-by! If you brush your teeth turn off the tap! Separate waste! Short distances by bike and don’t take the car! Light bulbs! Please save paper! The back of an old fine paper sheet used as draft. Unplug from the outlet when you no longer use the device eg. chargers. reuse stuff! Organize such an evening with some old friends swap your stuff / clothes! Where you're already bored a lot like another and vice versa.

What can you do?

ANTARTICA

Since the 50s, the temperature around the Antarctic, where 90 percent of the world's ice is located, increased by 0.5 degrees, shown by data collected from satellites and weather stations. On the Antarctic Peninsula, was the last 2.6 degrees above zero. "But the area we measured the warming is much larger than the peninsula. The whole West Antarctic ice warms up," say the Americans. “And the average surface temperature of the entire continent is increasing.

Construction but also the infrastructure and internal equipment must meet the strict standards of sustainable development and respect for the environment. Living in these special circumstances, also the necessary comfort come first. As a partner in this ambitious project provides a range of Electrolux appliances that meet the strictest requirements as ecology and sustainable development.

Oplossingen smelten noordpoolArctic is warming at an alarming example is the rapid pace of Arctic warming is already twice as high as in the rest of the world and until we do anything about it, there probably will not continue. Normally, most of the sunlight which is directly reflected by the ice and only a small proportion actually included. With the warming of the Arctic will much of the ice to melt and melted ice (water, though) takes much more heat from the sunlight. This will only Arctic more sunlight to be evaluated, creating further melting ice ... In short: more snow and ice is melting, the Arctic warms faster.

PENGUINS

More and more penguin species are threatened with extinction. Scientists from the University of Washington is a result of global warming, oil pollution of the sea, intensive fishing and tourism. That penguin populations are shrinking is a clear signal that the water quality in the southern oceans is deteriorating, so say the scientists this month in an article in the journal Bioscience. "Today we see the effects of human-induced global warming and pollution in the farthest corners of the world," writes environmental biologist P. Dee Boersma. "We thought that many penguins would be safe because they are so far away from human life. But that is not so.“Scientists distinguish between sixteen and nineteen species of penguins. About twelve of them are in trouble, according to Boersma.

Penguin Kenner Susie Ellis warns: "What happens to penguins, a few years later done with other species, including humans."

Vaclac Klaus.

Exactly for largest anti-global the warming conference ever, which will be kept as from 8 March in New York, told the president of Czechia - the current President of the EU: The largest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and the prosperity at the beginning of the 21st century is no longer the socialism, but the ambitious, arrogant and unscrupulous ideology of the environment movement.

Vaclav Klaus is 67 and the president of Czechia, moreover also economist, and for years a clear antagonist of the false ideas of the worldwide environment problems. In its new book blue planet in green shards he that writes discussing concerning the reheating of the ground a symbol and example has become of the collision between truth and what wants the government that your believed.

The global warming is not the earth is not warming• Some people deny that it is clear that our planet warms. They say that the measurements show that the

warmer the earth, filled with errors and distortions. Thus, many measurements are in big cities and it is known that it is warmer in cities and elsewhere. This difference increases for larger cities since many cities over the past 10 years have widened. This explains to some scientists the rise in global temperatures.

It is the sun• The sun plays the creation of a role in our planet's climate. It is a fact that the sun does not always sends as

much energy to Earth. If the sun shines today harder than the creation of the earth when only 70% of the current solar radiation reaching our planet. Some people say that the history of the earth, the climate is often influenced by a change in the Sun The warming now would it a result of it.

The earth was once warmer though• Some scientists say that global warming is not a problem because it has never been hotter on earth. During

the medieval warm periods were eg grapes grown in England and melted the glaciers in the Alps.

It is water vapor• Water vapor is the main greenhouse gas, which is 98% of the greenhouse effect. So a mixture of carbon

dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases that we would not be important.

WHAT DO THEY ACHIEVE?

Crucial tasks for the biggest global environmental problems to avoid, are limiting the temperature rise and halting the biodiversity loss. With unchanged policies, the average global temperature in 2100 is expected to have risen about 4 ° C, and biodiversity will in 2050 have decreased by about 40%. To the temperature increase to 2 ° C is necessary to global greenhouse gas emissions by about 50% to reduce, for rich countries may now be a reduction of 80 to 90%. Loss of biodiversity is mainly caused by increasing land use for agriculture.

It is possible these objectives largely existing technical possibilities to realize, says the PBL. Important measures for limiting the temperature rise include more efficient use of energy, greater use of renewable energy and the introduction of plants that capture CO2 emissions. The agricultural sector is about to increase agricultural productivity, losses in the food chain and reduce meat consumption.
