Overnight – Family home-stay, Amantani IslandUpon arrival to the island of Amantani you will be introduced to your host family and taken to their home for a rest. For many people the home-stay is a revelation of the reality of the Andean people of Lake Titicaca – there is no running water, electricity and of course no toilets or showers! In the afternoon you can take a 1 hour hike up Pachatatamountain for fantastic views of the sunset over Lake Titicaca –but don’t forget your flashlight for the walk back to the town! A traditional dinner will be served in your host family’s home, followed by a party in the main square - you can dress up in traditional costumes and meet the local people.
