But do avoid digital zoom
LOOK FOR THE LIGHT
Coming from behind the photographer and to the left, and shot during the ‘Golden Hour’.
Shade can be your friend.
Light from behind your subject gives a silhouette.
COMPOSE YOURSELF
Don’t cut your scene in two across the middle.
Don’t centre the subject – use the rule of thirds.
Look for patterns.
Square crops are different.
UNWOBBLE YOUR WHITE BALANCE
