COVID-19 Horse Show Guidelines

*Social distancing of 6 feet between individuals will be followed, no congregating

will be allowed.

*Everyone on the grounds will be required to wear a face mask when not on a

horse. If overheating, please move yourself to an area away from

all others to remove mask.

*A participant may choose to wear a facemask or face covering when mounted

on a horse and cannot be penalized for doing so while competing.

*Anyone who exhibits COVID 19 symptoms or has been in contact with

someone who has tested positive for COVID 19 within the last 2

weeks cannot enter the show grounds.

*Until further notice, the public, spectators, and any non-essential persons

(guests, friends, family members) will be prohibited from being on

the show grounds to minimize the number of people. The only

exception will be parent/guardians for minor riders.

*EVERYONE ON THE GROUNDS must have a signed health declaration and

NIHJA waiver turned in to the show office. Once submitted, you will then

receive a wristband that must be worn for the duration of the

show. NO ONE will be permitted on the grounds without signed

forms.

*Show management will be providing hand sanitizing stations near the show

office and at the ingates.

*Trainers are required to be responsible for their staff and customers, monitor

temperatures and provide masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and other

cleaning/disinfecting products for their staff and customers to use

while on the show grounds. Trainers will be responsible for

cleaning/disinfecting their own stabling area; tools, hose ends, gate

latches, crosstie snaps, wheelbarrows, and any other frequently

handled surfaces.

*Please help to minimize horse show office traffic by submitting all entries,

coggins, vaccinations, and waiver forms by email. Trainers should

do all check-in/check-out for clients in order to reduce the number

of people in the office.

***Any additional guidelines set forth by NIHJA will also be put in place. They will

be available on the NIHJA website at www.NIHJA.net***

Rules and Regulations

➢ USEF rules apply if not covered by NIHJA.

➢ Trophies and Ribbons in all classes. Champion and Reserve for all divisions.

➢ You must be entered in the entire division to be eligible for

Championships and Reserve Championships.

➢ USEF Approved Hard hat must be worn at all times.

➢ Horses may arrive after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23.

➢ Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes.

➢ Non-stabled horses pay $75/day trailer in fee.

➢ Please leave dogs at home. If not, a short leash and responsible

handler is mandatory. $50 fine for loose dogs.

➢ Stall requests final by 5:00 pm Sunday, September 20. Trainers and

owners are responsible for stalls not cancelled by this deadline.

➢There will be a charge of $50 for returned checks.

➢ Shaving orders must be received by 2 pm each day in the

secretary office. (No refund for unused shavings, initial bedding not provided)

➢ Do not deface stalls in any way. (Competitors responsible for stall damage)

INTRODUCING: Crossrail Hunters/Equitation!Crossrail Hunters / Equitation will run at the same time as the Short/Long

Stirrup classes but will ONLY be 4 jumps per course (1 lap around the outside). Crossrail riders may only cross enter Short/Long Stirrup classes at the show.
