FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Parishioners,

STATIONS OF THE CROSS are held Fridays during Lent at St. Dominic Church.

finishing about 7:50 PMLent is a time for Prayer, Fasting & Abstinence.

The following are the Church’s Lenten regulations:

Good Friday—a day of Fast & Abstinence from meat. There is a limit of one full meal on these days for everyone between the ages of 18 & 59 inclusive.

from Meat. All who are 14 and older are bound to abstain totally from meat.

Other Weekdays of Lent-There is no obligation to fast. However, voluntary acts of self-denial (like giving up some-thing difficult) are recommended.

Lenten Shrine at St. Felix Church

Our Shrine at Saint Felix features a sculpture from 1975 by Sister

Marie Pierre Semler, MM (1901-1993)

called The Blindfolded Christ, depicting a part of the Passion

when Jesus was blindfolded and mocked by soldiers. Be sure to take the time to visit this shrine and to light a

candle. It will remain in place until Holy Saturday.

Sincerely, Father Gagnier
