Dear Parishioners,

Last week I had my canonical re-

treat, which I am required to have

very year, and it was a wonderful

experience, a time of prayer and of

dialogue with our Lord. We are now

entering into the time of Advent, a

special time in which the Church wants to teach us

how to live our Christian life. The life of a Christian is

fundamentally the life of someone who is vigilant, ex-

pecting the coming of his/her spouse. In Advent the

church reminds us of this fundamental attitude. It is an

eschatological time, in which we are reminded of our

mortality and the need to convert to the Lord in all as-

pects of our lives. Advent reminds us that life is also a

battle. Every day, the Christian needs to learn to sub-

mit his will to the will of God, and to discover that

God is God and let God be God above all things.

CENTER FOR NATURAL LAW

The Center for Natural Law is seeking to establish an

advisory committee at St. Louis Parish. Please email

[email protected] or call Greg LaPoint at

3036381517. Thank you.

We are glad to announce a very interesting Advent

Mission as we prepare for the coming of the Lord.

Rev. Armando Marsal, of the Disciples of the Hearts

of Jesus and Mary will enrich us with a talk about

waiting for the Lord with HOPE! The talk will take

place in the church on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019

at 7:00 p.m.. All are invited to participate.

PRAYER IN THE SQUARE

Join your fellow parishioners for our next Prayer in the

Square on Saturday, Dec 7 at 10am at Bega Park in down-

town Littleton as we pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy

Chaplet. We pray for God's love, mercy and peace

through the intercession of our Lady of Fatima and Our La-

dy of Guadalupe for the sanctity of human life and for an

end to the persecutions of Christians worldwide. Contact

Roy Ladewig for any questions: [email protected]

or 3038812314.

Advent is also a time of hope, in which we are re-

minded, in preparing for Christmas, that Christ has

incarnated in our poverty, and assuming our poverty

allowed us to have in us his own nature. For this rea-

son, I invite you to live this time of Advent seriously.

Consequently, we will begin praying Lauds every

morning in the Church at 6:00 am, for all who want to

attend, before daily mass. Fr. Francesco, Fr. Bill and I

will continue to offer confession after every daily

Mass, at around 8:00 am. I also want to invite all of

you to come and listen to the advent preaching which

will take place on Dec. 10, at 7:00 pm, followed by

confession. Please, see bulletin for more details. I will

also want to remind you of all the events that will oc-

cur during this Christmas season, a wonderful time to

pass faith to our children.
