Welcome to the First Family

Fairhope is such a blessed place. The beauty of our city on the bay is astounding. We are reminded each day of the wonder of God’s creation through the owers, the sunsets, and the magni cent view across the water. However, in the middle of this beauty are so many who have desperate problems and who do not know Christ as their Savior. Our mission as a church is to reach out to share Christ with our community. The campaign we are using to accomplish that mission is called “God’s Not Dead”. We will make calls, hand out Bibles, invite to our church, and pray for individual needs. We are not supposed to sit here and wait for them to come to us, but are to reach out to them where they are. So much is involved in getting ready for an outreach program of this magnitude. Pray about how God can use you. We need members with servant’s hearts who will make themselves available to be a part of whatever is needed -- phone calling team, prayer team, or fellowship team. Will you allow the Lord to work through you? The ordination of John Hardman this past Sunday was a special service. He joins a slate of deacons who begin serving (October 1) for the next three years. My prayer is that our deacons will realize the signi cance of their role, be men who love God supremely, who walk in the Spirit, share their faith, are deeply involved in the activities of our church, and are prayer warriors. Our church needs that contribution to make the impact for Christ that God has designed for us. My sermons will continue from the book of Acts. This Sunday night we will worship at the bay. What a beautiful place to celebrate the God of Creation who loved us so much that He sent Christ to save us from our sins. Come and experience the Lord’s presence in Christian fellowship. Have a good two weeks. This is a beautiful time of the year to be living in Fairhope. God has set before us an opportunity to reach others for Christ. May our church rise to the occasion. Pray for that to happen.Your Pastor,JerryActs 14:22

Perky Pumpkin Party Preparations are under way for our annual Perky Pumpkin Party and WE NEED CANDY! On Friday October 31st from 6:00-8:00 pm the Children’s ministry of FBC Fairhope will once again be hosting this amazing night of food, fellowship, games, thrills and CANDY! This is where you come in. We need tons of candy to pull o this event. Beginning Sunday October 5th, orange Perky Pumpkin candy buckets will be positioned at all major church entrances where we ask that you place your individually wrapped goodies throughout the month of October. Last years goal was 50,000 pieces. Lets give our best in order to beat that goal this year and make all dentists on the Eastern Shore really happy. The candy you donate will in a small way be used to draw our surrounding community to our awesome church and give us an open door to meet our neighbors and ultimately introduce them to Jesus. People ask Jennifer and I all the time… What can I do to help? You can help right now by donating tons of candy for what we pray is the best Perky Pumpkin Party ever! Be on the lookout for game booth sign up sheets in your Sunday school boxes beginning Sunday October 5th. It just can’t be done without you!
