The whole “war on terror” seems to be used by an already overreaching federal government to take away more and more protected Constitutional rights for ordinary, law abiding citizens. The NSA’s first response was that this aided them in their fight against terrorism, but then the IRS scandal broke and we learned that groups like the Tea Party have been targeted for holding alternate views of the radical progressive left, presently in power. This Presidential administration has redefined marriage, radically stripped any protection for the unborn, and directly attacked religious liberty, just for starters. We live in a day when wrong is considered right and right is considered wrong. Our temptation as Christians, in such an environment, is to tone it down or simply to remain silent. Martin Luther once said, “You are not only responsible for what you say, but also for what you do not say.” For followers of Christ, the NSA should mean NOT going to remain SILENT ANYMORE; whether it be speaking truth on moral and social issues, sharing Christ with the lost, or giving a valedictorian address at a public school where saying God is forbidden. Silence is not an option for believers. In Exodus 4:11-12, God spoke to Moses about this and said, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." In Proverbs 31:8 Solomon writes, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” In Mark 16:15, Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” In Matthew 10:27, Jesus again said, “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.” It is God who has given us our mouths, accompanied by a changed heart (the new birth). We have the mind of Christ. Let us not be afraid to speak boldly, in love, the reality of the Kingdom of God into this fading culture that is passing away. (1 John 2:15-17) PJV

Dear Friends, As you know it has come to the attention of the public that the NSA, (The National Security Agency) has been keeping records on American citizens that include phone, internet use, etc…One wonders if we are not watching a remake of Orwell’s 1984. Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." In Proverbs 31:8 Solomon writes, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” In Mark 16:15, Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” In Matthew 10:27, Jesus again said, “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.”
