General Information

Seminar Description

This seminar will in the first place provide a general overview about water mist technology for firefighting. The physics behind water mist, the characterization of water mists, the methods how water mist can be generated and the extinguishing mechanisms of water mist will be addressed. Based on those presentations, the attendees will get an overview about national and international guidelines as well as test protocols for water mist systems.

The major part of the seminar will focus on presentations about applications for low pressure and high pressure water mist systems. Case studies particularly on land based installations will inform the attendees about the big variety and newest fields of applications. A look on developments for the upcoming years will complete this half-day seminar.
