The Finisterre Quintet was formed in Buenos Aires, Argenti-na in mid- 2011. Since forming, its goal has been to achieve the maximum performance quality, by playing own scores, tending to demonstrate that Tango music is current and is the most representative music of Buenos Aires.Since the beginning Tango was considered as a genre to be danced but also to be listened, that is the reason why Finiste-rre Quintet has created a vast repertoire, which allows them to perform their music at a concert stage as well as being the musical host at a “Milonga”.

The repertoire is widely varied. They play tangos by authors such as Aníbal Troilo, Osvaldo Pugliese, Horacio Salgán, Julián Plaza, Astor Piazzolla, and others. They also play Tangos of their own authorship and of contemporary composers. All of the scores and musical compositions are designed to achieve the instrumental development and the brilliance of each musician, rotating the role of soloists during the course of the pieces.Due to its characteristics the Finisterre Quintet has been presented in most of the Buenos Aires Milongas and in all of the “Tango por Barrios” festivals. They have taken their music to the most important Tango stages in Buenos Aires, such as the San Martin Cultural Center, the Centenary Park amphitheater, Verdi Theatre, Orlando Goñi, CAFF and Casa del Bicentenario, among others. In 2013 the Finisterre Quintet was selected to be part of the Cycle of Notable Bars, therefore they played at the legen-

dary bar “La Biela”, in Recoleta. That same year they recor-ded their first album, at ION, a Buenos Aires mythical recor-ding studio, and gave beginning to the presentation of it in dierent stages.During January of 2014, the Quintet made its first tour along Uruguay, performing at dierent cities, playing at the main stage of the Jazz a la Calle festival, the most important festival of the country, in Mercedes city. They have participated in the audiovisual production "Pichuco", a documentary about Anibal Troilo´s composi-tion work, which was pre premiered at the BAFICI Festival 2014, and was ocially released in several countries simul-taneously on July 11th, 2014, to celebrate 100 years of the birth of Aníbal Troilo (http://vimeo.com/54639764).Finisterre Quintet is formed by: Nahuel Perkal on bando-neon, Martin Santiago on double bass, Damian Carracedo on Piano, Bruno Cuellar on violin and Emilio Cossani on guitar.
