Foster Care Puzzle video discuss ion quest ions

Tyrone Flowers talks about becoming a significant piece of the puzzle in a child’s life. As you think about foster care where you live, what piece are you playing and what pieces are currently missing for the children in foster care in your community?

Dr. David Anderson describes his realization that the Church is best equipped to play a part in preservation. What attributes of the Church best equip it to work not only in preserving families but also in all of the areas mentioned in this session?

This session gives a glimpse into several different roles that members of the body of Christ can play in foster care: Family Preservation, Reunification, Recruitment & Advocacy, Foster Parenting, Adoption, Supporting Foster and Adoptive Families, and Mentoring. Which of these do you feel are easiest to get people in your church and community to do. Which are the hardest and why? Brainstorm as a group who the key organizations or individuals in your community are for each of these 7 areas. How could they help you engage more people in these areas in your sphere of influence? What are the next steps this group needs to take to strengthen those connections?
