Y Member (YM)Allows full use of the Ascension St. Vincent and Dunigan Family YMCAs, including all membership benefits. Members also receive free or reduced pricing on programs.

Non-Member (NM)Participants who enroll in individual Y programs (swim lessons, basketball, etc.) without being a Y Member.

Refund PolicyThe Y understands that events may come up that conflict with Y programming and therefore provides an opportunity to cancel or change program registrations.

To cancel and request a credit/refund, a refund form must be completed at the front desk. All credits/refunds must be requested and approved by the Program Director. All approved credits will expire after 1 year.

FULL CREDIT/REFUND» Granted for all programs if request is submitted prior to the start of the program/class. » Granted if the Y cancels a program or class. This does not apply to snow days or rain cancellation.

PARTIAL CREDIT/REFUND» After the program or class begins, participants may receive a PARTIAL CREDIT on their account or a PARTIAL REFUND. The Program Director overseeing the program will determine the appropriate pro-rated refund amount considering the timing of the cancellation and any applicable registration, equipment or program supply fees incurred by the YMCA.

School Days Off ProgramThis program fills in the gaps when school is cancelled due to single day holidays, short breaks and inclement weather. We offer supervised games, swim time, open gym, and activities from 7:00am to 5:30pm. Each child should bring a lunch, swim suit, & towel daily. Registration begins August 26, 2019 and parents must select EVSC or Warrick County days off when registering. Winter Break CampWinter Break Camp is available for children ages 5-11 who need care during winter break. Children will have the opportunity to engage in activities which will benefit them emotionally, physically, and educationally. The children will participate in field trips, crafts, gym time, and much more.

How It Works Workshops NEW!How it works are monthly workshops focused on using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to allow kids to see themselves as makers. These classes will be offered on the fourth Saturday each month. Each child will take home the project/ robot that they worked on.

Homework Help This program teams students up with a Signature School student tutor. Homework Help is available FREE to students in 1st - 8th grade who need help with school work. This program requires daily signupsto ensure enough tutors. Parents may call the Ascension St. VincentYMCA to register their child at least one day prior to tutoring. Homework Help Spanish NEW!Like our tradition Homework Help program, your child will team up with Signature School students to help with school work. Robotics for Girls NEW!This will be a hands on experience for girls to learn the fascinating world of coding and robotics. Riptides Swim Team - Oct, Nov, & DecThe YMCA Riptides Swim Team provides a supportive and encouraging environment where the concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship are consistently reinforced. Each swimmer will learn, grow and thrive by developing the skills and relationships they need to be healthy, confident and connected to others. The team is open to children ages 6-18. Swimmers must be able to complete 50 meters without stopping, have the ability to swim freestyle and backstroke, and complete at least an hour practice.

We will have fun activities that allow children to practice the Spanish language in context, learn about Spanish culture, and develop their creativity with other children learning to speak Spanish. Archery Group LessonsGrab friends or entire family and get the kids away from the electronics and together to learn a new skill. If you’re already and archer, bring your bow and get extra practice. Archery teaches concentration, focus, patience and confidence, and fun! Certified Archery instructor with all equipment provided. Six-week program is located at the Dream Center at 16 W. ARCHERY

Riptides Stroke Technique ClinicThis month-long clinic is ideal for swimmers who want to improve their four competitive strokes, starts, and turns. Swimmers will practice and apply drills to make their strokes more efficient and build stamina and endurance. Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool using the crawl stroke and backstroke without stopping. This class meets 3 days per week.

Youth Fundamentals Basketball League Our fundamental youth basketball league focuses on player development through fundamental skill work, sportsmanship, and team building concepts every time they take the floor. The league is divided into age groups: 4-6, 7-8 and 9-10. Everyone plays with automatic sub rotation! Players receive eight games, a one-hour instructor-led practice session each week, instructor coach, a t-shirt, and awards.

Parent-Tot Open Play GymnasticsThis program functions as an open play gymnastics time. Each participant will move at their own pace from station to station. This is a great introductory program for students not yet ready for an instructor-led class on their own. Our gymnastics instructors will be on site if needed to answer questions and to ensure safety but do not lead the class. Instructor-led classes begin at the junior gymnastics level. First time participants receive a t-shirt. A PARENT MUST ACCOMPANY CHILD IN CLASS AND PARTICIPANTS SHOULD WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHING.

TumblingThis class teaches basic to advanced level tumbling skills. Participants work on walk overs, round-offs, handsprings, tucks, and more. It’s excellent for students who want to build confidence and physical strength as well as for cheerleaders (or future cheerleaders) who want to build on their floor tumbling skills. Youth CheerleadingCheerleaders will learn basic skills, chants, cheers, jumps, and stunts while experiencing the performance aspect of cheerleading at our Youth Fundamental Basketball games. This season will run for 8 weeks.

Pre-School Gymnastics This class focuses on learning patience, counting, colors, shapes, gymnastic technique and of course having FUN! This light-hearted class engages your child as well as prepares them for life’s next steps.

Junior GymnasticsThis class focuses on building confidence and self reliance while developing coordination, strength and flexibility in a fun and instructional setting. This class introduces rolls, handstands, as well as learning positions and entry level skills on bars, beams and vault. Participants must be three or older unless approved by Coach Sarah.

Level 1 Beginner GymnasticsStrive to reach your personal best by working toward your individual gymnastic goals with our self-paced skill progression program. Participants learn rolls, handstands, basic cartwheels, basic bars, beam and vault skills. Participants must have completed Junior Gymnastics or be approved by Coach Sarah.

Level 2 Intermediate GymnasticsLevel 2 places emphasis on strength and flexibility as participants move into more advanced skills and stations. Participants will build on their existing foundation while adding a one-hand cartwheel, 3-second handstand, back bend from a standing position, and a pull-over on bars. Participants must have completed a Level 1 class or be approved by Coach Sarah.

Level 3 Advanced GymnasticsIn Level 3, greater focus is placed on proper technique, conditioning, confidence, and self-reliance. As the skill set and stations advance, participants continue building on their existing foundation. One hand cartwheels, a back bend from a standing position, and a pull-over on bars are prerequisites. Participants must have completed a Level 2 class or be approved by Coach Sarah.

Many of our Gymnastics classes are progressive to help develop your child’s abilities over time. Classes vary from introduction of basic skills to advanced skills. Find a class that is best for your child’s individual skill level. All first-time participants in any of our classes receive a t-shirt.

Ninjanastics - NEW AGE GROUPS!Ninjanastics mixes gymnastics, parkour and the thrill of obstacle courses into a fun program combining tumbling, climbing, and even some flips to increase body awareness, coordination, agility and motor skill levels. After training all session, Ninjas will have their final obstacle course to complete and beat their best time. Every session has a different obstacle course challenge with new goals to reach. Choose between Lil’ Ninjas (4-6 yrs), Ninja Warriors (6-8 yrs), or Ninja Masters (8-12 yrs). First time participants receive a t-shirt.

All-Star Gymnastics Club(In-House Gymnastics Competition Events)Sharpen your skills, ready your routine and prepare for our in-house competition. Participants work with gymnastics staff for the first four weeks on their routine preparing for their first in-house competition in week 5. Participants are scored and judged on performance while receiving feedback on desired areas of improvement. Following their first competition, participants work with their coaches for the final 3-4 weeks to improve and sharpen their skills preparing for their final competition on the last day. LifeTrek Martial Arts Martial Arts is great exercise, enhances confidence, teaches methods of self–defense, develops patience, and...it’s fun! Taekwondo Taekwondo is the study of kicks and punches, emphasizing the use of the feet for unarmed combat. Students work with the teacher to progress at their own pace, developing lasting strength and focus in a non-competitive, mutually respectful environment. Youth Tennis ClinicThe YMCA Sports Academy, in partnership with the Evansville Tennis Center, will offer youth tennis clinic sessions (Red Ball: 5-7 yr /Orange Ball: 8-10 yr / Green Ball: 11-14 yr). Wrestling NEW!The YMCA Wrestling program provides an introduction to wrestling for boys and girls K through 6th grade. Our goal is to teach each youth wrestler the basics and competitiveness in scholastic wrestling. Participants will spend the first four weeks working on technique, training and strategies and will then compete in their first in-house meet on Week 5. Participants will finish the three remaining weeks with two final weeks of practices and a final in-house meet on Week 8. Level 1: Water AcclimationIncreases comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water. This stage lays the foundation that allows for a student’s future progress in swimming.

YMCA Rock Steady Boxing Rock Steady Boxing enables people with Parkinson’s disease to fight their illness by providing non-contact boxing-style fitness classes that will improve stamina, strength, balance and quality of life. Classes are divided into two levels based upon each person’s unique Parkinson’s symptoms and overall level of fitness. All boxers must complete an assessment with a coach to determine class placement.

Community CPR/AED The American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED is a combined CPR/AED program designed specifically for those who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills. This training is suited for emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, teachers, and child care workers.

Community First Aid The ASHI Basic First Aid Class develops basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.
