agenda under PSTPN.

IPTS lecturer; or

Government employees/statutory bodies/university

Admission Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification approved by the

Malaysia government with minimum CGPA 2.75 - 4.00 or

equivalent; or

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification approved by the

Malaysia government with minimum CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 or

equivalent and has at least 3 years working experience in

related field; or

At least 30 years old and have certificate Accreditation of

Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) for admission to master

programme (level 7, Malaysian Qualifications Framework,

MQF) from Malaysia Qualifications Agency, MQA.

Application Requirements

Funded by UniMAP, and application through Centre for

Graduate Studies;

Must be a FULL TIME UniMAP PhD student;

An allowance of RM1800.00 will be given on a monthly

basic;

Only tuition fees is exempted. However, student would still

have to pay for other fees (registration, student card,

orientation, health, library, laboratory and thesis evaluation);

Does not receive any type of financial

aid/support/sponsorship form any organisation;

A Malaysian citizen below the age of 30 years old;

Obtain at least a Masters’s degree or Bachelor

degree with first class honours in an engineering

major or equivalent from a university which is

recognize by the government or an equivalent

certification recognize by the university Senate.

Subsidies will be given annually and will be based on

the student’s academic achievements for not more

than 3 years;

Students are required:

to present at least 5 research papers at prestigious

conference (Indexed by Scopus) OR

to publish 3 research papers in conference

journals OR

to publish 2 conference journals (Indexed by ISI)

OR

a combination of research papers in journal,

conferences and other equivalent as requirement

GA MyBRAIN15

After completion of the program (3 years GA duration) and able to

obtain a PhD,

student must be served for 3 years as a lecturer or

1 year as a postdoc at UniMAP, depending on the vacancies in

the university;

For those students who do not perform well, students may

continue their PhD program but will not be appointed as a GA

MyBrain15 for the following year but students still have to serve in

UniMAP after obtaining their PhD;

as a lecturer (depending on vacancies) for the same duration

appointed as GA MyBrain15.

As a postdoc for 1 year or half of the duration of the

appointed position (whichever one is shorter).
