Somasekhar Prasad Senior Faculty, RACE Writer ENGLISH "Jumbled Sentences" is the one item which most of you have been familiar with since your school days. Use that knowledge in answering this question in competitive exams which usually carries 5 marks. Find the‘SAC’ in the passage Some Useful Tips H This item normally consists of 6 to 8 sen- tences. Read the sentences closely to get the central idea of the small passage. H The writer generally makes a ‘Statement’(S) about a topic in a couple of sentences. Identify those sentences and place them at the ‘Beginning’ of the passage. H Then the writer develops his statement into an ‘Argument’ (A) in a couple sentences. These sentences make the “Middle’ of the passage. H Finally the writer gives a ‘Conclusion’ (C) to his argument in a couple of sentences. These sentences make the ‘Ending’ of the passage. H After rearranging the sentences into a complete and meaningful passage, answer the questions carefully. "Jumbled Sentences" is the one item

which most of you have been familiar

with since your school days. Use that

knowledge in answering this question

in competitive exams which usually

carries 5 marks.

Find the‘SAC’in the passageSome Useful Tips

H This item normally consists of 6 to 8 sen-

the central idea of the small passage.

H The writer generally makes a ‘Statement’(S)

Identify those sentences and place them at

the ‘Beginning’ of the passage.

H Then the writer develops his statement into

an ‘Argument’ (A) in a couple sentences.

These sentences make the “Middle’ of the

passage.

H Finally the writer gives a ‘Conclusion’ (C)
