Why Viscose...



Our History...1892 Process discovered by Charles Frederick Cross.

1902 Viscose development corporation founded.

1916 Factory built in Bromley – delayed because of the 1st world war – completed in 1920.

1969 Viskproof capsules developed.

1990 Decision made to build own plant in Swansea, which housed manufacturing of the company, i.e. shrink sleeving and cellulose and these remain on site today.

1987 PVC Shrink Sleeve started in Viscose’s head office in Crawley.

1991 PVC Shrink sleeve moved to Swansea Manufacturing Site.

2013 Viscose still manufacturers Cellulose today.

2014 Viscose today are suppliers & manufacturers of plastic closures, sports caps, flat caps, aluminium ROPP, crowns, capsules in PVC & polylaminate, shrink sleeves & secondary seals.
