and AXA.
Natasha Andreyeva, EDHEC Global MBA participant from Belarus, describes her experience
from the track, “I had no doubts about which track to choose. One of the reasons I chose EDHEC
was because it is well known for its finance studies. I was happy to go to London as part of the
Finance track experience and spend a week there meeting with speakers from various
backgrounds. Some of them were just outstanding ….”
Gene Barker, EDHEC Global MBA participant from Australia, shares his opinion, “For me, the
finance track was the capstone of my EDHEC Global MBA experience. With the compliment of
world class professors and a cohort of dedicated individuals, we were able to achieve much in a
concentrated amount of time. For all those thinking of a post-MBA financial career, this track
was a must.” David Johnson from Canada agrees with his fellow classmates, “As EDHEC is highly
respected worldwide for its finance program, it was a natural choice for me to leverage this
expertise for my MBA studies via the finance specialty track. I gained many valuable insights
and knowledge into this field through an approach based on practical application, case studies
and theory.”

EDHEC Global MBA participants on the Global Finance Track visited London to take a closer look
at one of the key financial districts of the world. The trip gave the participants an opportunity to
understand the European financial situation, specifically the situation in the United Kingdom,
and its ever-changing dynamics from close proximity. The trip comprised of company visits and
a two-day conference on the Financial Crisis and Risk Management held at EDHEC’s own
London campus.
To begin with, the participants visited the premises of Commerzbank, the second largest
German bank, where they were exposed to the various financial products offered to clients.
The visit also included a floor walk of the Trading Floor at Commerzbank. The next visit was to
the premises of Google, wherein the participants interacted with their Finance Department to
understand how projects are considered at this amazing work place which fosters creativity and
innovation.
Next, the two-day conference on the Financial Crisis held at the London campus of EDHEC gave
the participants an opportunity to interact with speakers from various firms such as Citi,
Blackrock, KPMG, and NHS, to name a few. The underlying theme of the discussions was
Changing Regulation, Re-Regulation and Risk Management past the 2008 Crisis, both in the
public and private sectors. The conference also gave an opportunity for participants to
understand how HR Strategies had changed as a result of the recession. The event also included
a Roundtable Conference which was addressed by the Global Head of Recruitment at Nomura,
Malcolm Horton. It was attended by many other HR managers and consultants with the theme
of these discussions being hiring and retaining international talent through the crisis and the
