HistoryThe Indian Steel and Wire Product was

established in 1920 by sir Bahadur Inder Singh and is the first wire drawing plant of India.

ISWP was a company incorporated in 1935 under companies act 1913.

In 2003 the Company was taken over by Tata steel.

The companyIt primarily manufactures wire rods, TMT Rebars,

and wires.

ISWPL has 4 Major Business verticals:-

Spark ISWPL has launched its range of Stick electrodes

and Mig wire which is being marketed under the brand name “SPARK”.

Spark SliverSpark Sliver welding electrode is medium coated

rutile general purpose mild steel electrode with excellent welding performance.

Spark GoldSpark Gold Welding electrode is a heavy coated

rutile mild steel electrode with superior welding performance.

It runs Smoothly and gives excellent radiographic quality.

Spark DiamondBasic coated, hydrogen controlled iron power

electrode with 115% metal recovery.

Excellent welding performance and radiographic quality.

Spark PlatinumBasic coated iron power electrode with superior

metal properties.

It runs very smoothly.

2. Mig WireThese are copper coated wires with special

chemistry for continuous welding of unalloyed steel.

The product is available in a layer wound form and as per the customer’s requirement.

Strategy to increase the marketWe should approach welders again and again

because Mangalam is the best welding electrode perceived by Welders.

If Company offers some benefits to Welders like Mangalam gives 5 rupee coin in each Packet of welding electrode welders would be enthusiastic to use Spark.

If the Company increases the no. of pieces in the packet of welding electrode, Welders would be more inclined to purchase Spark rather than any other welding electrode.

Voice of CustomerWe have a good response from customers for the

Spark Electrode.

Most of the welder say that Spark Welding Electrode emits low carbon, low spark, spatter and smoke but some of the welders say that Spark Welding electrode gives high Smoke and Spark.

Problem AreaMain Problem area that I went through was Rau

where price of Spark electrode is a bit higher than any other electrode

Welder said that Spark Welding electrode price are high and quantity of electrode is less.

In Rau the main Problem is that welders have been using Mangalam and Weld Cup for last few years and it’s easily available in the market.
