TOYOTO MOTOR CORPORATION

INTRODUCTION

Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese automotive manufacturer headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan.

The company was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a spinoff from his father's company Toyota Industries to create automobiles.

Toyota Motor Corporation’s vehicle production system is a way of “making things” that is referred to as “lean manufacturing system”.

The TPS (Toyota Production System) was developed to improve Quality and Productivity.

Objective: “making the vehicles ordered by customers in the quickest and most efficient way, in order to deliver the vehicles as quickly as possible”.

In line with Toyota's growing comfort with its India operations, the company set up Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts (TKAP), which commenced production of transmissions in May 2004, for its global requirements. Another initiative is the Toyota Techno Park India (TTPI), a non-profit industrial infrastructure company aimed at boosting local industries and related job opportunities.

INTRODUCTION

ITC was incorporated in the year of 24th of august, 1910 under the name of “IMPERIAL TOBACCO COMPANY OF INDIA”.

Company solely focused on the growth and strengthening its cigarettes and leaf tobacco business.

• Toyota’s operational strategy is to provide competitive edge in the automobile industry for this they innovated many new techniques in order to improve their supply chain & distribution. They created a benchmark which has made him strong to survive in the market.

• While in ITC they work on consumer insights,on world-class Research & Development and an efficient and responsive supply chain that can further strengthen its leadership position in the Indian FMCG industry & can a competitive benchmark.
