Plan Your Essays!
Don’t go into an essay blind. It can be easy to get confused and distracted if you don’t plan it out. Make sure to make a detailed outline so you can stay on topic and plan transitions so your essay flows.

College-level writing requires a formal voice which means no contractions!EXAMPLES: EXAMPLE:It’s It is DO NOT: I wouldn’t do something that wasn’t Don’t Do not wasn’t right because that’s somethingWasn’t Was not that I shouldn’t do.Shouldn’t Should not DO: I would not do something that was not right Wouldn’t Would not because that is something that I should not

Schedule your time!
If you know you have limited time, set a goal to complete a certain amount of your assignment. Do one part at a time as to not overexert yourself. Take small breaks in between and come back to it with a fresh perspective on a new day. Take assignments day by day.
