“It was so enjoyable and a fantastic workout. Each station had a short explanation and listed the level of fitness, along with two choices of endurance. The stations were not extravagant. They were simply made but very effective for a complete body workout. We were very impressed and mentioned every day that we wish we had a trail like this in Jasper. (Riverwalk or Country Club golf course would be perfect.) - Toni Messmer

7 GUIDING OBSERVATIONS
1. Site has visual and environmental properties unique in the Jasper Park system. Reuse plan should take full advantage of these attributes.
2. Site’s topography and access limits new structures and active development to relatively small area of the overall site.
3. Water bodies are strong amenity and focal point of site; consider expansion or aggregation into one large lake
4. Significant grading and tree canopy clearing should be minimized
JASPER COUNTRY CLUB
![Page 61: Final presentation for The Parklands](https://reader033.vdocuments.mx/reader033/viewer/2022051617/55a51ca51a28ab475a8b4705/html5/thumbnails/61.jpg)
7 GUIDING OBSERVATIONS5. Active recreational uses can be more
appropriately accommodated off-site (south of 15th Street)
6. Potential physical community “center” can best be accommodated at southwest corner adjacent to 15th Street.
7. Site more amenable to development of outdoor community programming related to arts, environmental education, fitness, health, and ecology.

NEXT STEPSEstablish timeline for periodic mowing regime
Engage professional design team to move the Parkland Plan into design development and construction documents
Undertake hydrologic assessment of the remaining ponds as to their expansion/wetlands connection
Construct continuous trail network with exercise stations
Engage local garden clubs for creation of community flower garden
Identify and construct short term parking areas

NEXT STEPSCreate park signage and wayfinding
Establish a final central water feature plan
Construct new pedestrian bridge spanning the central water feature
Cultivate partnerships with potential Nature / Education Center
Initiate design of outdoor pavilions
