Biograpghy

Fatima hassan Awadh is an Emirati visual artist and designer born in Dubai. Her work is under different categories in art such as paintins, photograpghy, printmaking and scultpture. Fatimas most successful artwroks and exhibetion was combines her abstract work and her gallery that has some very successful photograohs that was exhibited in different places at the university.

It is the only escape you could walk away through, yes this is art. An artwork that I make, which is not existing. A path that allows me to run with my thoughts and expressions, brings them out by capturing or splitting everything just in a small piece of paper.

I wish that I could capture everything I see around me knowing that I can memorize every seen more than the camera I hold or a pencil or the paint I use. Seeing people, buildings, cars, and nature through shapes and lines that are linked all together in an amazing world we’re living in. This is how and what I could translate into an artwork.

Leading me to think about the wonderful God’s creation of earth and human that are my first inspirations for everything I starts working on, my country, family and identity. At the same time I could always go to some other people’s work and see how did they make you to be a part of an artwork of them and read an image that is word-less. One of the most artists that inspires me is Wael Hamadeh, a Lebanese artist that do paintings, photographs, sculptures, and mixed features. Also Arabi, Shirin, and some other emirates artists I get inspired by is Abdulqader alrayis, Abdulla bin touq and Khalid hamad.

Photography, paintings, printmaking, and structuring a book are the main kinds of art that I use to capture a moment or express feelings, show a tragedy or poses a problem. There is always no cheating in the artwork, viewers can notice where do you want to lead them as an artist but when it is not understandable this is how I want to reflect the number of feeling and opinions I wanted to represent but there wasn’t enough space or time to express.

Art made me find my self, and world around me. Artist could not produce a nice artwork if he doesn’t put all his senses in what he’s doing and the bane of any work you do is to lose dedication when doing it. That’s what art made me know.
