EXPENTANCY VIOLATION THEORY: In the movie blue Bustamante the lead rolewere going to Japan to be an engineer, but suddenly when he’s there already he got fired bycompany he’s working. he has a friend in Japan who offers him a job, a job that he doesn’t want,because he’s family as expecting him to be an engineer not to be a stunt man in some show. Hecontinue working there but doesn’t let he’s family know what kind of job he has because hedoesn’t want to disappoint his family expectation on him. And turn out that the work he’sworking at that moment was the favorite show of his son, so he decided to tell to his family thetruth. And the reaction he was expecting from his family was different from his expectation. Itturn out that he’s family was never disappointed to turn of events in his working job in Japan. Asit said to the expectancy theory our everyday expectation are always violated, even if we try sohard to be the one we are expecting, we can’t prevent the things that will happen so as ourexpectation in life. This changes might bring us good or bad it is the matter of how we will dealwith it.

UNCERTAITY REDUCTION THEORY: In the scene were the son of the lead role gotbullied his classmate help him to escape and because they shared the same situation they easilybond. As the they pass the level of uncertainty become less, and they both knew that they sharedthe same interest as for watching the same tv series in this the level of their closeness andfamiliarity to each other becomes deeper.

ATTRIBUTION THEORY: the scene where George and his friend was in the coffeeshop and there this girl at the other table who was crying because because her boyfriend broke upwith her and as George being so gentleman he gave his jacket to the girl, that there firstencounter. And as the day went by it turn out that they live in the same place and every time theybump to each other the girl is always shy, and one day the girl wait for George outside hisapartment and she has some bread with her, and when George shown up the girl panic and justleft George with the bread, they next day they see each other again George decided to invite thegirl to a dinner and they talk and talk even though they can’t understand each other and it turnthe reason why the girl is always in a hurry, and shy because she has a feeling for George. Sothat explain why the girl is behaving strange every time she and George bump to each other.

WOMAN OF THE RUINS

EXPENTANCY VIOLATION THEORY: In the movie woman of the ruins the lead rolewhich portray as Alexandra de Rosi was a girl supposed to be dead because of a typhoon,suddenly appear with the loss of memory, she believe that she’s not the lady the communityknown she was. She’s aloof to everyone even to her supposed husband but there’s this one girlthat keep on talking to her, tour her to the community, explain everything to her, first she’s verydistant to this girl, to the point that she’s not answering the question that the girl asking. But asthat they comes, and the girl keep on talking and being nice to her, finally she give herself to thegirl share her thoughts, her feelings to the girl and they became close friends. As the socialpenetration theory said as we spend a lot time to that person, the more we became relax whenwe’re with them it’s easy for us to disclose some information about ourselves that we think isimportant for them to know.

ATTRIBUTION THEORY: in the scene were the men of the community is havingsacrifices because they believe that, they community was being cursed and the only way to getover this is to have some sacrifices, like hitting themselves as to they walk through the wholecommunity. In this kind of attitude it’s explains why the people is being so irrational to the pointthat they to hurt themselves just to get paid to the debt they believe they have, and to get throughthe curse once they believe they have their community: another one was when Mariah gave birthto his son, they believe that her son was the gift from heaven and the key to broke the cursedthey believe had the community, so that they treat this young man as their king and praise thischild like a god.

EXPECTANCY VIOLATION THEORY: When Pasyon again found his long lost wifeMariah, he again expect that, his wife Mariah will act as his wife at very pleasant way. So thatwhen Mariah disobeyed his rule and not to agree having sexual intercourse he force his wife orrape his wife. In this Pasyon expectation through his wife were being violated when Mariah actdifferent way as he expect his wife will aact.

COGNITIVE DISSONANCE THOERY: when the fisher man found a bunch ofdrugs in the sea, he was torn between too what he’s going to do with the drugs. He’s torn if hewill going to surrender the drugs to the policeman or keep it with himself. But when he told tohis wife about the drugs his wife said that they will going sell the drugs to have a money. Butthey don’t knew how they will to that, so that they seek some help from his friend Jose, but stillin this situation they have a conflicting situation if they will accept the offer of his friend Jose totheir business partners when comes to the selling of the drugs. Andres was being torn to thedecision that he need to made.

ELABORATION LIKELIHOOD THEORY: it’s about Andres doesn’t want hisdaughter to be married to her long time live-in partner. First Andre was just hesitant about themarriage of his daughter but, as the day pass by he was strongly not in favor about the marriageof his daughter to the point that he threaten his daughter that he will do everything just to preventthe marriage. To this peripheral route (authority) were being exposed because Jose stick to theidea that he doesn’t want his daughter to be married with anyone, he doesn’t even think about it,just believe in the thought that his daughter was being taken away from him, and because of thathe did everything with his power just to made a point that he has a power and when he said no itmeans only no, because he has the authority to their family no one will be ever brought hisdecision down.

ATTRIBUTION THEORY: because of poverty and his agenda to have a pleasantand perfect family that push Andres to do a unpleasant deed, because of that he became greedyof money to the point that he enter an illegal transaction through drug dealing. Because of thelove for his family he did everything even if it’s wrong just to make sure that his family willstick together and will never ever get separated, because of his selfishness he doesn’t know thathe’s not being rational to the decision that he’s going to do, he doesn’t listen to the his familyjust believe that because he’s the father, he’s the only one who need to make a decision abouttheir family no one else just him, only him.

GANITO KAMI NOON, PAANO KAYO NGAYON?

The movie Ganito kami noon, Paano kayo ngayon? Try to represent about how Filipinowas being drag out by our own country, how the Spaniards treat us like a servant they let usbelieve that we don’t have the right to be called Filipino. That we are just a servant that destinedto serve them and nothing else, also this movie let us know how power and money, control ourlife, how money can suddenly change once perception in life. But despite all those things thismovie let us knew that no matter what happen we can find a true friend, that we can trust, andfind true people who can feel the our burden. And most of all it teach us that, not to be blindedby money and power, fight in what we believe is right, fight for our nation and freedom, fight forour own identity, because through this we can project our love with our country, and we don’twant anyone who treat us like a rag in our country. Be proud of what we have, because we areFilipino by heart, by nature and by soul.

This movie represent the Filipino, who doesn’t know their identity, because in this moviethe true Filipino believe that they were just a native people but not Filipino, because as it saidhere the Filipino are the one who’s in power and has money. Those people let us believe that weare just a country men that will never became a Filipino unless we become successful, havemoney and power. That’s the definition of Filipino in the movie. But in the end, we Filipinostand with what supposed we have and own, we called ourselves a Filipino, because we areFilipino no matter what we stand for, and no matter what our state in society.

ATTRIBUTION THEORY: most of the scenes explain how Filipino we’re being treatedat that time. Explain how money, power and identity can really affect one’s life. How caneveryone around treat you as person or just nothing. It shows how the Filipino we’re being out-thrown by our country, how we Filipino became a stranger to our supposed kingdom, how weFilipino we’re being taken from granted by those people who we serve, and end betrayed by thewe one’s trusted.
