Top Billing: Lists the main actors in the film, and is more often than not placed at the top of the poster. I decided to only use the names of my main two actors who are the films focus and feature in the trailer rather than adding names of actors who would appear in the whole film, to show the importance of those actors character to the narrative. This is a common trait of romance films. Main Image(s): I decided to use two images on the poster, as I believe it gives a more romantic feel to the poster showing more than one image of the same couple. Also I believe it make the poster look more realistic as it would look quite plain if it just had one image. Title: The title is placed in the center middle of the poster and in the largest font, to direct the viewer’s focus to the films title, as it is arguably the most importance part of the poster. Billing Block: Is used to give the information on the production companies etc, ye is small enough not to distract from the poster as a whole. The billing block used list those in my media group with the roles we really had, giving our own personal touch to it. As wel as featuring the logos of our own production company and the production company we decided to link with. Background Image: I used an image of a meadow faintly in the background, as stereotypically in romance films these are popular locations. Also as in the film there are scene where the couple are in a meadow. Sheet music was also used as apart of the background to link to the musica themes to the film whilst giving the poster a romantic feel. ag Line: Are ften used to ncrease the ewer’s interest nto the film. By aying the film is ased on a book, ould (if it were eal) attract the ans of the book, s well as ncreasing interest n a book if a film being made om it. olour Scheme: decided to use astel colours for the oster as these olours link to a omantic/drama enre film, helping he viewer tell the ms genre. This lso helps the black f the font stand out nd become eye atching. elease Date: I ecided to put oming soon’ rather han a specific date, s often films are istributed at ifferent times in ifferent countries, herefore this poster ould be used in multiple locations. Genre: From the use of the actors embarrassing, the use of colour and font, I believe the romance/drama genre is apparent, as these are all stereotypical features of romance/drama film posters. Critical Response: The use of positive comment or review from some type of film/media magazine help sell the film to the viewer as it suggest it is a high quality. I decided to use my own magazine for the quote, to link my two products together. Audience: From the clear romance/drama feel to the poster as well as the age of the characters, the target audience would stereotypically be woman ages around 16-25. However as the poster says ‘based on the best selling book’ would also attract the widen audience of the fans of the book.

Title: The title is placed in the center middle of the poster, and in the largest font, to direct the viewer’s focus to the films title, as it is arguably the most importance part of the poster.

Billing Block: Is used to give the information on the production companies etc, yet is small enough not to distract from the poster as a whole. The billing block used list those in my media group with the roles we really had, giving our own personal touch to it. As well as featuring the logos of our own production company and the production company we decided to link with.  Background Image: I used an image of a meadow faintly in the background, as stereotypically in romance films these are popular locations. Also as in the film there are scene where the couple are in a meadow. Sheet music was also used as apart of the background to link to the musical themes to the film, whilst giving the poster a romantic feel.

Tag Line: Are often used to increase the viewer’s interest into the film. By saying the film is based on a book, would (if it were real) attract the fans of the book, as well as increasing interest in a book if a film is being made from it.

Colour Scheme: I decided to use pastel colours for the poster as these colours link to a romantic/drama genre film, helping the viewer tell the films genre. This also helps the black of the font stand out and become eye catching.

Release Date: I decided to put ‘coming soon’ rather than a specific date, as often films are distributed at different times in different countries, therefore this poster could be used in multiple locations.
