stop is the Timna Valley, a national park, a desert of

beautifulrockformationsincludingthefamousPillarsofSolomon.Itprobablythefirstplaceintheworldwhere

copperwasminedwhichcreatedbyEgyptian.Andsome

believe that they were part of King Solomons great

wealth.Oneofthemostinterestingthingstoseeinthis

area is a full sized, Biblically accurate replica of the

Israelite Tabernacle (Based on availablility) during the

Exodus. After lunch, then visit Qumran, where thediscovery of the sacred scrolls of the Book of Amos,

Isaiah,andHabakkukbyBedouinTribes.Afterthis,well

checkinhotelinJericho.

Afterbreakfast,youllbroughtoseetheMtTemptation

andtheruinsofJerichowallswhenJoshuasentbyMoses

to cover the city of Jericho and leave to visit City of

Betlehem, theplacewhereJesus born The Church of

Nativity.Next,weproceedtotheShepherdsfieldwhere

the shepherds received good news about the birth of

Jesus.Next,weproceedtoMtZiontovisitDavidsTomb

and the Upper Room where the Lord Jesus and his

discipleshadtheLastSupper.OurnextstopisStPeterin

wegotoOldcityofJerusalemthroughZionGateintothe

TodaywewillhavecitytouratJerusalem.Ourfirststop

isMountofOlives. TheMountof Olivesoverlooksthe

OldCityofJerusalemandismentionedmanytimesinthe

Gospels. It is the place of Jesus Ascension, an event

markedbytheChapeloftheAscension.Othertraditional

sites aremarked by churches Dominos Flevit, where

Jesusweptoverthecity;andtheChurchofAllNationsattheGardenofGethsamane.Enteringtheoldcitythrough

St. Stephens Gate,we first visit thePool ofBethseda.

Nearby, the Church of St Anne is one of the few

remaining Crusader era churches and is noted for its

fabulousacoustics.TheViaDolorosa(WayofSorrow)isa

traditionalrouteusedtorememberJesuslastwalk,from

hisplaceoftrialtotheplaceofcrucifixion,andismarked

by14 Stationsto remember events, both Biblical and

traditional that occurred. The Holy Sepulcher Church

Day8: JerusalemJaffaHaifaNazareth

Cana-Tiberias(B/L/D)

WewilldrivefromJerusalemtoGalileeandenrouteJaffa

(Joppa),anancientseaport.NexttoCaesareaMaritima,the Roman administrative capital and home of

Cornelius. Paul was taken here after his arrest in

Jerusalem, tried and imprisoned for 2 years before

anothertrialdecidedthathewouldbesenttoRome.Tel

Meggido marks an important crossroads on the trade

routes, and is a hill built up by successive settlements
