Costume Studio: Specialty Costume Fabrication After taking some time out to raise my two children, teaching and lecturing at various institutions has kept me active in costume. Choosing to take a step back from designing the larger productions persuaded me to build a purpose built studio to remain engaged in the industry. Working for various costume houses, providing concept designs and fabricating costumes for companies such as Make up Effects Group and advertising agencies from my home base in the Hunter Valley, gave me the opportunity to prioritize my family commitments whilst still fulfilling my passion for costume. Having made difficult decisions regarding family verses career choices, I have now reached a stage where both of my children are studying away from home, which has allowed me to return my focus to design.
