ALREADY DONE: Statue of Our Lady of Fatima has been removed and a new one has been ordered. IN PROCESS RIGHT NOW : Architect is working on detailed drawings for Our Lady of Fatima's new place and prayer areas inside the church. NEXT ON THE LIST: The restrooms in front of the school and new school office. Projects of this size feel like they take forever, and are sooo expen-sive… but worth it, since we aim to ensure a vibrant Catholic presence here for decades to come.

Dear friends, In pain, catastrophe, imminent danger … many go running to their moms, to mother church … and to mother Mary. This does not dishonor God, since God is the source of all the love that has ever been, including the love of women for children. Pope Francis encourages Catholics to turn to Mary during these difficult mes, and men-
ons nightly family rosary. (We have livestream Spanish rosary on our website every week-day evening at 8 PM.) He has also wri en the beau ful prayer wri en below. Locally, our parish con nues the annual Mother’s Day Novena, in gra tude to them and for their inten ons. To have your loved ones remembered in the prayer basket placed at the foot of the altar for the next 9 days, please telephone names to the church office or drop your list off at the mail box. You are welcome to make an on-line offering (see the parish website), leave an envelope in our mail box … or just forget the offering and give a treat to someone that needs it. Peace, All Good! Fr. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus, who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrec on. En el dolor, la catástrofe, el peligro inminente ... muchos van y corren con sus madres, a la Iglesia madre ... y a nuestra Madre María. Esto no deshonra a Dios, ya que Dios es la fuente de todo el amor que ha exis do, incluyendo el amor de las mujeres por los ni-ños.
El Papa Francisco anima a los Católicos a recurrir a María durante estos empos di ciles, y menciona rezar el Rosario familiar nocturno. (Tenemos el rezo del Rosario en vivo en español en nuestro si o web todos los días a las 8:00 PM). También ha escrito esta hermosa oración que verán más adelante.
A nivel local, nuestra parroquia con núa la Novena anual del Día de las Madres, en agradecimiento a ellas y por sus intenciones. Para que sus seres queridos sean recorda-dos en la canasta de oración, colocada al pie del altar durante los próximos 9 días, llame por teléfono a la oficina de la Iglesia o deje su lista en el buzón. Puede hacer una ofrenda en línea (consulte el si o web de la Parroquia), deje un sobre en nuestro buzón de correo ... ó simplemente olvide la ofrenda y dele un regalo a alguien que lo necesite.

Tú, Salvación del Pueblo Romano, sabes lo que necesitamos, y estamos seguros de que proveerás, para que, como en Caná de Galilea, podamos regresar a la alegría y a la fiesta después de este empo de prueba. Ayúdanos, Madre del Amor Divino, a conformarnos a la voluntad del Padre y hacer lo que Jesús nos manda, quien ha asumido nuestros sufrimientos y ha cargado con nuestros dolores, para llevarnos, a través de la cruz, a la alegría de la Resurrección. Hello Confirmation Families, I hope everyone is doing well during this unique time. I just wanted to let you know that we are here to support your teens and your families during this time and that we are praying for you. While the Confirmation program may not be able to happen in the traditional sense, we are still committed to providing material that will both
inspire and teach your teen during this time. Please encourage your teen to participate in the digital confirmation program by watching the video and answering the small group questions on our website at https://smmchino.org/confirmation-2/ . These videos are very hopeful and can be a great tool for our teens to stay connected to their faith. There is even a parent guide that you can download if you want to have a conversation of faith with your teen. And please note, we know that times are tough and we understand there might be challenges completing this work. At this point there are no due dates on these assignments and we don’t want this work to be a burden. So for any reason if this work is too much, just let me know. Our hope is to bring an inspiring message to our teens and to offer them connection and support with their confirmation teachers and parish (which they greatly need), not to overwhelm them with requirements. Lastly, we are having youth ministry meetings via zoom twice a week. Currently we are meeting on Sundays at 6:30pm via zoom and Tuesday at 6:30pm via zoom to pray and discuss the challenges and blessings of life.
