Catholic Charities Update

Thank you so very much to the almost 250 individuals and families who have already contributed more than $88,000 to this year’s Catholic Charities campaign. This is about 76 per cent of

our $116,000 goal. Your generosity is making a big difference in western New York

In today’s second reading the evangelist, John, tells us that God

has commanded us to “love one another.” Support of Catholic

Charities allows us to make this love concrete for more than 152,000 of our western New York neighbors in need. The organization serves everyone from infants to seniors with

programs from those that provide for basic needs through those that offer counseling and respite for caregivers. It may also bear

repeating that Catholic Charities is one of the most efficient charities, receiving the highest rating from Charity Navigator and

re-accreditation from the Council on Accreditation.

Last year about 350 families and individuals contributed to our parish’s Catholic Charities campaign. We hope that at least 100

more community members will be able to support this year’s

program and help our parish meet its goal while enabling Catholic Charities to meet its commitments. Thank you again for your

generosity.
