The Opportunity The wait is almost over! From September, Sky Sports viewers will
have the opportunity to watch over 200 live FIFA World Cup 2018
Qualifier games from the comfort of their homes. Over 200 teams
will battle it out for a place to join hosts Russia in the final 32 in
what is set to be another blockbuster sporting event.
Sky Media are delighted to present a unique sponsorship
opportunity for the right brand to build positive association with
the key games leading to the biggest stage in International
football; the FIFA World Cup.
The Content The FIFA World Cup is a landmark event in every football fans diary
and the road to Russia will kick off in September. Sky Sports
viewers can watch all the drama unfold, with teams from across
Europe competing for a place on the world’s biggest stage.
The World Cup Qualifiers will present football fans and more
importantly managers the opportunity to see how well their
squads play together against tough International opposition as
they embark on their quest for a place in Russia 2018.
In recent years, world football has seen an influx of exciting young
talent looking to make a name for themselves at international
level. Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, the quick-footed
Frenchman Anthony Martial and the Premier League’s top scorer
Harry Kane are among a growing list of young stars looking to
reach their first World Cup Finals.
The qualifiers are made up of 9 groups containing 6 teams in each
group. England will be looking to make it to Russia to improve on
their last World Cup performance, but will face fierce rivals
Scotland in Group F, whilst Northern Ireland will face defending
World Cup Champions Germany in what is known as ‘The Group of
Death’ - one of the toughest groups of them all
Group D see’s a huge clash between The Republic Of Ireland and
Wales, with both sides looking to build on successful qualifying
campaigns for Euro 2016. Sky Sports viewers can catch all the
action live in stunning HD, catch-up On Demand or on the move
via the Sky Go App.

sponsorship period, all World Cup Qualifier 2018 programming
simulcast across Sky Go will carry sponsor accreditation
consistent with the linear broadcast.
The sponsor will receive an opening 15” credit for each programme
pushed to Sky Go On Demand. This is estimated to deliver 50,000
impressions.

Audience:
As part of the sponsorship investment, £60,000 will be
committed to Sky AdVance digital inventory, allowing the
sponsor to amplify their sponsorship message to targeted Sky
Sports viewers online via VOD or display ads. This is available for
12 month sponsorship only.
