RELEASE NOTES

EFI™ is pleased to announce the release of Fiery® eXpress 4.6.

Highlights:

• Now a single Fiery eXpress offering in two sizes, small and large

• Support for the latest ISO 12647-2 reference profiles

• Updated verification presets for proof validation in compliance with ISO/DIS 12647-7:2016

• Support for the latest PANTONE® spot color libraries

• Support for the EFI ES-2000 and X-Rite i1Pro 2 spectrophotometers

• 14 new printer drivers for EPSON and Canon devices

• Mac OS X 10.11, 10.12 and Microsoft® Windows® 10 support

System Enhancements

• There are no longer three flavors of Fiery eXpress. The previous Fiery eXpress for Photo, Proofing and Proofing Advanced products are replaced by a single product called Fiery eXpress. Users buying a full version, or an upgrade, now benefit from the complete powerful toolset of all the three previous offerings. We now have two sizes, one for smaller applications (up to 18”/A2), and one for larger applications (24” and larger)

Standardization and Color

• Fiery eXpress now supports the new ISO 12647-2 reference profiles (PSOcoated_v3 / PSOuncoated_v3_Fogra52.icc) and corresponding Fogra 51 & 52 characterization data. The verification presets were also updated for compliance with ISO/DIS 12647-7:2016

• The most recently released PANTONE® spot color libraries are now supported, including the new 112 colors of the PANTONE® Plus Solid Coated & Uncoated and COLOR BRIDGE Coated & Uncoated libraries

• Support for the EFI ES-2000 and X-Rite i1Pro 2 spectrophotometers

Availability

• Fiery eXpress 4.6 is available as a full version to new customers, as well as a chargeable upgrade for existing Colorproof eXpress 3.5, and Fiery eXpress 4.1-4.5.6 users

• A version 4.6 license is required before installing • To upgrade to Fiery eXpress 4.6, make sure to backup and uninstall the current version of eXpress.

o To backup, you can use the Backup menu item from the Actions menu in Fiery eXpress. You will find the Restore option in the same menu

o On Macintosh, please use the master installer of your current version of Fiery eXpress to run the uninstall procedure. You can find this installer on the original product DVD or on www.efi.com/fieryexpress in the download section

o Afterwards you can install version 4.6 and restore the backup. A master installer is available online on www.efi.com/fieryexpress in the download section
