Housing Targets

2004:Government proposes 3 million new houses be built in the UK by 2026 East Midlands Regional Assembly creates a target for GreaterNottingham minimum of 57,000 houses between 2006 and 2026

East Midlands Regional Assembly also imposes a further target that35,197 must be built in or adjoining the Principal Urban Area in Nottingham

In February 2010 , Rushcliffe Council begin their LDF public consultationon the housing targets imposed by the East Midlands Regional Assembly
