The teacher gave a motivation first before executing the lesson. She stated that learners should be motivated before the lesson so they can be in the condition to listen to the discussion until it is finished. Giving a motivation to the learners is also a good strategy so that they will not get bored in listening to the discussion.

Based on the alternative instructional planning for a specific learner, develop appropriate assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate his/her learning.

Assessment Strategies

A key concept in alternative assessment is having the student learn to recognize his/her own progress by taking the time to reflect. Those who are able to review their own performance, explain the reasons for choosing the processes they used, and identify the next step, develop insight and self-involvement. Self-reflection, an important concept in any form of assessment, is a particularly important component of a student portfolio.

Reflection…

In this field study I have learned how to become an effective teacher. A lot of strategies and techniques are shown in my visit to the school I observed. As a future educator all this experiences and knowledge I’ve gained will help me a lot in practicing my own profession in the near future. I’ve also known the different characteristics of the learners and appreciate them as what they are as a children. Because of this study I am now motivated to face the challenges that I may encounter in the near future that God will give me as I work on my profession being a teacher. In this study I’ve also observed how hard being a teacher is, it’s not only about the lesson that you impart to the learners but it’s also about the values that you share to them and make them feel how to be appreciated and loved being their second parent. For this reason, it reinforces me to study well and made me inspired to be a future educator.
