That time has come! The first Field Day and Community Open House is July 30th and everyone is invited to come and see the six grass fields and two TURF fields. There will be one-hour sports clinics for football, golf, lacrosse and soccer. The field will open at 10am, then a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:25, followed by clinics starting at 10:30. For families that want to hang out all day there will be food vendors and activities like the Cabela’s archery challenge. And don’t forget your personalized SOZO t-shirt. SOZO will wrap up the day at 4pm when the last clinic is over. For more detailed information you can check out our website www.sozosports.net. GRID KIDS of YAKIMA to play at SOZO With over 1500 kids in the Yakima Valley that play Grid Kids Football it’s no wonder the demand for fields is a big one. SOZO is pleased to host the GRID KIDS on four fields every Saturday from the last weekend of August until November. This is a great opportunity for Grid Kids to find a permanent home as they have played in three different locations in the past five years. Grid Kids continues to grow and SOZO wants to grow with them as more fields and buildings are developed. TOUCHDOWN SOZO!!!! First Tournament comes to SOZO August 12th The 1st Annual Central Washington Super Cup will bring over 100 soccer teams to SOZO the weekend of August 12th. Puget Sound Premier League has held previ- ous tournaments in Western Washington without much attendance from eastside teams. Since they found out about SOZO they have been watching the devel- opment and are happy to be organizing the first tournament at the new sports park. They have always wanted to do tournaments in Yakima or Eastern Washington because of the weather and the potential draw from all over the state. So far it’s working – local hotels are already booking teams for the event. Registration information can be found online at www.sozosports.net. Since the September 10th groundbreaking everyone has been waiting for SOZO Sports fields to be ready so kids can play. That time has come! The first Field Day and Community Open House is July 30th and everyone is invited to come and see the six grass fields and two TURF fields.
