Also seeking excellent male dancers on Saturday, May 4th starting at 9 a.m.. Rehearsals for this production will begin on Tuesday, June 25th, and are held in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends leading up to opening on July 11th. The role of Tevye has been cast. This is an Adult Equity Performer Audition for High School age and above. Children's roles will be cast at another time. Non-Equity actors are strongly encouraged to attend, and will be seen whenever no Equity Member is auditioning or waiting to audition. No appointments necessary. No Phone Calls Please. There will be a sign up sheet for auditions upon arrival. Equity Membership Candidate points are available to those cast. All Non-Union performing positions are unpaid. Fiddler on the Roof Featuring the Original Jerome Robbins Choreography Music Director: Dan Rodriguez Rehearsals start June 25th. Performances are on the weekends of July 11-21. Be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please prepare for the role(s) in which you are interested. Character descriptions are available here. Please bring 2 resume/headshots. All those wishing to be involved in the singing ensemble will be moved by the choreographer at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd. For those interested in the Male Dancing Ensemble, please wear appropriate dance attire and shoes and be stretched and ready to go at 9 a.m. on May 4th. Callbacks will also be held on Saturday, May 4th as needed. Rehearsals for this production will begin on Tuesday, June 25th, and are held every day in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends leading up to opening on July 11th. Fiddler on the Roof Character Breakdown

The role of Tevye has been cast.

AVRAM Runs the local bookshop and keeps the town advised of all the news in the area. Male, 40-60 yrs old. Range: D3 - Eb4

BIELKE Tevye's youngest daughter. Takes lessons at home from Perchik. Female, 8-12 yrs old. Range: B3 - D5

CHAVA Tevye's middle daughter who loves to read. Falls in love and runs off with Fydeka, a Russian soldier. Female, 15-20 yrs old. Range: B3 - D5

CONSTABLE Russian military official stationed near Anatevka who knows the villagers well, however he has superficial relationships with the villagers. Male, 35-45 yrs old. Speaking Role.

FRUMA-SARAH Lazar's Wolf's deceased first wife. She becomes enraged when her husband plans to wed Tzeitel. Female, 35-45 yrs old. Range: C4 - Eb5

FYEDKA A strong, young Russian soldier who sees past his military obligations and falls in love with Chava. He challenges Tevye's imposed silence. Male, 20-25 yrs old. Speaking Role

GOLDE Tevye's strong-willed wife who wishes for her daughters to have good husbands and live easier than she and Tevye. Female, 40-50 yrs old. Range: A3 - Eb5

GRANDMA TZEITEL Golde's deceased grandmother, who endorses the marriage between Tzeitel and Motel. Female, 60-75 yrs old. Range: C#4 - D5

HODEL Tevye's second eldest daughter, who becomes involved with Perchik. She eventually leaves Anatevka to join Perchik in Siberia. Female, 18-23 yrs old. Range: B3 - E5

LAZAR WOLF The feisty, brawny butcher and the town's wealthiest citizen who wishes to marry Tzeitel. Male, 40-50 yrs old. Range: C3 - F#4

MOTEL The poor and meek tailor who shares a deep love with Tzeitel. Sensitive and nervous, but sincere and friendly. Male, 18-25 yrs old. Range: E3 - F#4

PERCHIK The outspoken student and visitor to Anatevka, who constantly challenges the traditions of the town. He eventually falls in love with Hodel. Male, 20-30 yrs old. Range: B2 - E4

SHPRINTZE Tevye's fouth eldest daughter who takes lessons at home from Perchik. Female, 9-13 yrs old. Range: B3 - D5.

TZEITEL Tevye's eldest daughter, who is madly in love with Motel. She is loyal to her family but typically challenges the town's traditions. Female, 18-25 yrs old. Range: B3 - D5

YENTE The meddling matchmaker. She is a widow and village busybody who knows all of the town gossip. Female, 50-60 yrs old. Range: F3 - F5
