    14) AXA Achievement Community Scholarship isawarding $2,000 scholarships to seniors withambition and drive, determination to set goalsand the ability to succeed in college. The

    15) The Christ Episcopal Church Foundation isoffering 2 Florida Prepaid College scholarshipsto seniors in the beaches community. Applicantsmust be involved in extracurricular activities inchurch, school and 2 community. Applicantsshould be in the top 25% of their class. Financialneed is needed. Applications can be obtainedfrom Guidance. Deadline: Feb. 25, 2011.

    16) KFC Colonels Scholars is looking for seniorswith a 2.75 GPA, enrolling in a public college/university in their state, be a U.S. citizen anddemonstrate financial need and entrepreneurialspirit. Awards are up to $20,000 for tuition,fees, textbooks, room and board. Applicationsare available @ www.kfcscholars.org.Deadline: Feb. 9, 2011.

    17) Burger King Scholars Program is offeringseveral scholarships to seniors and employeeswho have at least a 2.5 unwtd GPA and plan to

    attend a 2 or 4 year college. Application @www.haveityourwayfoundation.org Deadline:Jan. 10, 2011.

    18) The McCurry Foundation, Inc. is open tostudents who exemplify leadership, workethic(must have employment experience),academic excellence (minimum of 3.0 GPA) andhave financial need. The application for this$1,000 scholarship is available in guidance.Deadline: Feb 15, 2011.

    19) The Blanco Foundation, Inc. is offering a

    scholarship to students interested in nursing oreducation. Applicants must be accepted to acollege/university, show financial need, be anactive participant in a community service or

    20) Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is offeringa $1,000 scholarship and essay contest to highschool seniors who plan to continue theireducation. Essays must be 500 words or less,typed and double-spaced, and proper citing in

    HAVE YOU TAKEN THE SAT/ ACT? THETIME IS NOW!These scores are needed toshow all 2 yr. and 4 yr. colleges that youare college ready. FSCJ defines collegeready as a score of460 on SAT Readingand Math and a 17 in English, 19 inMath and a 18 in Reading on ACT. Ifyou are not college ready then youmust take remedial courses at FSCJ whichcost money and are not credit earning. Also

    SAT /ACT SCOREScan be used asconcordant scores in place of the FCATrequirement for graduation. The concordantscores are:

    22) Florida PTA/PTSA Annual Scholarship

    Award is offering a $4,000 scholarship toseniors who are members of the PTA/PTSA,current FL resident, a US Citizen, has a 3.0unwtd GPA and plans to enroll in a state orprivate institution in Florida. Application andinformation may be obtained from Guidance.Deadline: Feb 4, 2011.

    23) Florida PTA/PTSA Community/Junior

    College Scholarship is offering a one time nonrenwmable $1,000 scholarship to seniors whoare members of the PTA/PTSA, current FLresident, US Citizen, has a 2.5 unwgtd GPA andplans to enroll in a postsecondary communitycollege, or a state or private institution inFlorida.     24) Florida PTA/PTSA Fine Arts (Visual,

    Literary, Performing or Film) Scholarship is
