Liberty County Damage
Residences inspected with Drones by Montana volunteers and County staff
• 22 Destroyed
• 53 Major Damage
• 2341 Minor Damage, mostly to roof
More Damage Data
• Damage assessments showed more than two thirds of homes and over half of the businesses in the county sustained damage.
• Of 25 critical facilities in the county, seven sustained major damage and one facility was completely destroyed.
• 255,388 acres, or 96%, of the Liberty County’s forested lands sustained damage

poverty level • Nontaxable public lands: Apalachicola National
Forest is half of the county
Liberty County Housing Data• Residential land currently
makes up about 13% of county
• Housing: 3,308 housing units in Liberty County,
• Homeownership is high in the county, accounting for 76%.
• 45% of housing stock (1,463 units) is mobile homes, more than half over 20 years old.
• Only 2.5% of the housing stock are multi-unit structures.
